Title: MR. Mann
Post by: vesta111 on September 06, 2013, 01:25:10 PM
I have been messing about with Campball's soups the cream of stuff.

I wonder if you also experiment with this product.

I had a couple of cups of beef stew left over and took one can of split ham and pea, one can of cream of celery, 2 cups of Half and half, and added in a TBS of pepper flakes.

Fried up some thin sliced potatoes and made a stew of sorts.     Interesting  and not bad.

Cream of Mushroom is the basis for all things Dutch Oven.

I use a dry beefy-mushroom soup mix in a lot of my cooking.  Mainly with beef.

I also use a lot of canned cream of chicken for other non-beef things.

I just don't know about mixing beef stew and split pea soup together.  I would not venture that.

Lipton's Onion Soup mix works well in a crock pot with stew meat or a chuck roast.

I never have leftover soup. When I buy a can its eaten in a single shot.
I experimented and failed with powdered soup because I refused to cook it over a stove.

My big experiments are always with rice anymore.

Mr. Mannn, I saw a commercial on TV the other night that made me think of you, as our microwave afficiando.  It's the Stonewave, a little cooking pot that improves the result of your microwave experiments.  Have you seen it?

I'm pretty sure he said he doesn't wash pots and pans. Something about being allergic to dish soap.  :rotf:
