I am going to post a poem about Khashoggi. I wrote it today.

Veneer

we say we’re
civilized
we know the fork to use,
where the salad sits
and the dessert
and the main dish

we say we’re polite the way we were raised
hello and goodbye it was nice to see you take care
of yourself please

we say we’re well educated at least high school, probably college
well maybe trade school or the armed services works too doesn’t it

We vote, we talk, we work, we .........live.

Skin is veneer.
It shields us, shows others who we pretend to be, hides our faults and sins
if you could strip it off what you would see –

just how civilized we pretend to be
when we
kill
injure
maim
or

torture

One finger at a time
then the arms
then the legs
then his
head

he was alive through all that, screaming his pain his horror his
grief at this betrayal

it did not end till they severed his
head

our skin is
just a veneer
for our evil deeds
thoughts
actions

they wore headphones for music.....

I'm pretty sure that the poem should have ended with a "hack, hack, hack" in order to reach classic status.

I'm pretty sure that the poem should have ended with a "hack, hack, hack" in order to reach classic status.

That would have made her a hack writer instead of the Vogon Poet Laureate she is.

Starting to look like the Turks don't really have what they claim and are playing their own little game here.

At least Khashoggi was spared from reading that.

Once again CalPig proves there is not an ounce of poetry in it's body.

I have only an ounce and I can do better than that.

There once was a bitch from Nantucket,
who kept all her emails in a bucket.
Her friends would all say, "That's illegal! No way!"
To which she'd replay, "Aw f*ck it."

Nothing about his genitals.  She blew a perfect opportunity to recycle her line about aching seed.

In Honor of CALPEG, I give to you my Opus Magi:

or something...

"I struggle a wee bit at times."

I struggle a wee bit at times,
Months go by
and
I wonder why
Barry was such a cockup.

not just in the normal way
But in a totally gay way
Too

Butt
Gay
Barry Linden was a good movie though.
Eight years seems like a long time
Yet now- Today
Nothing he touched
seems
to
.... matter.

Was he gay? we don't know. Probably
We don't judge. No.
really seems like he was
Or maybe just the template
for all
the
soy millennial consistently mad
liberal ****stains that plague our landscape....

... woo... a bit of hostility
honestly gotten from too many mobs of
leftists, though.
blink blink blink goes the police lights...

a liberal beatdown
comes.

like Barry in a bathhouse.

...  She blew a perfect opportunity to recycle her line about aching seed.

The only "aching seed" she's seen was at a distance, aching to get farther from her.

Vogon poetry at its finest.

I was thinking THIS would make the Vogons run away.

11. Over my lifetime,

I can count less than a dozen instances when I finished reading something followed by a moment of stunned, silent, reflective, almost sacred and absorbed contemplation.

And I'm 70+ years old.

This was one of them.
:lmao: :rotf:

Let me guess the other dozen times you were either reading Highlight's magazine or Aquaman comics.  ::)
