Obama Portrait Artist Likes to Paint African-American Women Holding Heads of Decapitated White Women
I'm guessing that the folks here have seen the really bad Obama pics? :whatever:

Can you imagine if Donald Trump’s official portrait artist painted white women holding the decapitated heads of African-American women?
There would be social chaos.
But as Americans we are supposed to sit back and applaud Obama’s artist for chopping off the heads of white women to be carried like a trophy by African-American women?
Was this artist, Kehinde Wiley, paid with public tax monies to paint Obama’s portrait?

The portraits look like shit. There's a place for tradition and a place for artistic iconoclasm, the National Portrait Gallery is definitely among the former. Hers looks like it was made in six hours from random pieces of colored paper and some unknown woman's face photo. His isn't bad on the face but the wall of leaves his chair is floating in just looks stupid and the shading of the leaves drowns him out.
