 In celebration of National Pride Month and the demise of the Defense of Marriage Act last month, members of the LGBT community in Lafayette, Louisiana gathered in Girard Park for the annual Pride in the Park celebration. Local paper The Daily Advertiser was there to cover the event, and ran a photo in the next day’s paper of participants hoisting the rainbow flag that has come to represent the LGBT community.
Ray Green, a veteran of the Korean War, saw the photograph and brought it to the attention of Andy Noquin, a City-Parish councilman, who is now drafting legislation that would outlaw the flying of the rainbow flag — and any other non-government flag — in any public venue.
Green, who served in the Korean War, told the Daily Advertiser that he found the flag offensive:
“I did not go overseas and fight for our country so that we could come back and be subject to something like that,” Green said Friday. “Several of us (veterans) feel that the flying of this flag is a poke in the eye of a way of life.”

I see nothing wrong with the stars and bars, this is American History.

Stopping at small road side cemetery's in the south most are filled with stones and a CSA placket's and occasionally a small flag.    Someone still remembers the deceased and is proud of them to this day.

Cannot compare the Gay flag with the flags that denote lost of life for their country regardless what side they fought for.

Gay flag is a selfish self serving sign of some sort that is inconceivable to most of us.

  Few of us advertise our sex life, outside of the wedding ring we wear on left hand------Gays that marry need to wear their wedding rings on the right hand as they are so different from us.

The Gays who demand respect for being Different need to except they are different and not try to adopt the traditions of heterosexual life style. 

It really pisses me off to see Gays that try to take on the traditions and life style of others that they flaunt their strange life style in the face of others.

Their flag is just a way to tell others they are different------So we who are everyday day Joes and Jane's , with or without children need a flag to denote our sexuality, if they can do it why not  us.

I wonder what our flag would look like , anyone got any ideas ?

IIRC, the DUches have worked tirelessly to get the Gadsden flag outlawed and banned.

Never got the whole "pride" thing in one's sexual proclivities. Especially if it's, as they claim it, their "natural" state.

They will never permit a straight-people flag, just like any organization that claims to represent white people is racist, yet the NAACP and its race based entry requirements isn't.

I remember hearing that rumor years ago, so I had to look it up. It seems there have been several members over the years, and only two are listed as dead. One from lung cancer, the second from a drug overdose. The surviving members are still performing, and even though replacement members have come and gone, they still play the same six parts. (Cop, Cowboy, Indian, Construction worker, Biker, Military)

So it seems none have died from AIDS.
