On December 31st, 2009, about 2700 billion decimal digits of Pi were computed using a single desktop computer. This is presently the World Record for the computation of Pi.

I've wondered before how they do this. I can draw a circle, measure it's diameter and circumference, and determine pi that way, but the circle has to be perfectly round and the measurements exact to the infinite place to make the calculation exact. Where do they start when calculating pi?
I like pie.

I still like pie. I'll stick with the perfect circle and exact measurements.

That's irrational.

That's irrational.
Almost as irrational as claiming, "Pie are squared." Have YOU ever seen a square pie?

Fractionally, Î = 31/7. You can therefore take 1 divided by 7 and pull out as many decimal places as you want to add zeros at the end of the 1.

Shouldn't it be 22/7 ?? 3x7= 21+1=22 3 1/7=22/7

yeah, that's the one I learned long ago. 3.14 if you wanna be imprecise. :-)
