Fogy, cool day, one CARBURATED enging at altitude, carb. icing starts, no heat applied or applied too late, aircraft loses power, lands/ditches/crashes in the chanel, crew lost. No one seen because of the fog. Was quite common then, still happens now. No space aliens, etc. .

In the Mood is a great tune, and Miller's Band did it exceptionally well.

Also, add "The Ventures" as a channel on your Pandora, great mix of instrumental only Rock.

I tried adding the Ventures to my current station... it didn't mix too well so I took it off.  My station plays a lot of Sam Cooke, Del Shannon, and Ricky Nelson.  I enjoy it.

Maybe Carlos Santana would fit? My Dau in law gave me a player and Santana while I was in the hospital for the last month. It comforted me and let me sleep.

Added it to Pandora as soon as I discovered it.

I see Pandora has added Blackberry service to their internet radio.  I'd love to be able to tune into my station over satellite radio.

I found a Del Shannon appearance on David Letterman from 1986 or so.  It was interesting, to say the least.

Saw them play this in Concert in 2007.  Rawked my socks off.

This version actually sounds better, but the video blows IMO.  No official video for the song.

Mark Lanegan - One Hundred Days

Lanegan is one of my fav artist from "back in the day" but that keeps on putting out new stuff too. Think Seattle grunge era (late 80's early 90's) meets hard rock meets psychelelic rock.
