Someone has stolen almost $1,000 from Mrs. V.'s mother

Several ATM withdrawals of $100-160 since the beginning of the month. Mom is on a very small limited income and can't afford this (who could?!). Mrs. V. doesn't know who's doing it (the card is in Mom's wallet!). She suspects her nephew, unemployed apparently by choice because he is fully able-bodied.

She's going to cancel the card and notify the bank's fraud department. She's hoping she can get pictures of the person(s) making the withdrawals.

Mom is 82 years old and in very poor health. Mrs. V. runs her finances and cares for her as best she can from 500 miles away. There is no one else to care for her. Her son and grandson live nearby but they are both deadbeat assholes; her son gets on the phone and is extremely mean and nasty to her. Her grandson (Mrs. V.'s nephew) makes promises of helping around the house and doesn't show up. Dad's in a nursing home - Alzheimer's.

Mom deserves better. Mrs. V. is in tears and feels helpless.

A. Someone is stealing mom's money that I could have stolen.

B. I am stealing mom's money and trying to blame it on someone else.

C. Mom has discovered that she is missing money in her account.

D. How does one get finger prints off bank cards?

E. All of the above.

Gosh, sounds like a typical leftist family.
Maybe you should open your eyes Bertha and realize what your politics creates for morals.

Is it talking about itself or is it talking about its 'partner'?

Secondly I didn't like how it portrayed the nephew. How does it REALLY know what's going on in the nephews life. Maybe he has some kind of syndrome that makes him cry like a bitch if the temperature isn't exactly 72* all the time therefore keeping him from leaving his home and unemployable?  Hmm??

I'm not getting a good read on bongs and bouncies.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

Pretty sure it's the latter, and it's the 'partner's' mother that is actually being ripped off (Or starting to suffer from Alzheimer's).  Only an idiot emo Leftist would post a what-I'm-gonna-do-eventually message about this on the internet instead of making a beeline for the bank first.

It's the 'wife' - I think she may have set up a DUmp account under the name of MrsVenation but never really posted there.

Poor old mom.

Her son is a deadbeat thief, and her daughter is a slimy lesbo.

She must have been a great mom.

My guess is an FDR democrat that hated Ronald Reagan.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Update on the stealing from Mrs. V.'s mom

OP here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/1018461024

We won't know until we see the tapes, but things now point to the culprit being her caregiver. Things like mom looking everywhere for her debit card, and Mary (the caregiver) suddenly and quickly coming up with it. "Here it is!" I can imagine her saying. It is hard not to jump to conclusions but I admit I have already jumped.

Mrs. V. is in touch with the local police and they've opened an investigation. She also notified Mary's employer, who will run their own investigation. Even if it turns out that she is not the thief, mom needs someone new. Mrs. V. talked to her mom on Sunday and asked what she'd been doing that day. Cleaning her stove, cleaning the microwave, doing laundry . . . .  Those are all Mary's tasks. Those are among her duties. It is not her job, Mrs. V. told her mom, to keep mom company.

Mom is beside herself with worry, though, because she cares about Mary and doesn't want to see her go to jail. It's very sad.

I hope the investigation goes swiftly. Please keep a good thought for Mrs. V., and send her some vibes. She is all torn up about this. She's in a really bad way. Thanks.

The tapes? What tapes, those from the ATM sites? Look hard at the time of the withdrawls. How did the "caretaker" get the PIN number?

I was bemused by the reference to tapes too - I wondered whether they'd bugged the house or something, imagining the culprit would chuckle to him/herself as stealing.
