Oh my.
No primitive's shown up at this campfire yet, and I really don't know.
I know it's stupid to "warm up" the motor vehicle, but the deal about the defroster, I never heard of.
Is the primitive correct or not? Anybody know?
The a/c compressor runs to prevent humid air from blowing on the inside window glass. Dry air prevents interior window fogging and frosting. It's not a huge waste of money as it makes for a safe driving situation. Once the vehicle's interior is warm there is no need to continue to run the defroster in most cases and that will save a little bit of fuel.
Vehicles already tend to use more fuel during cold weather at it takes longer for the vehicle to reach operating temperature.
