What a great opportunity to have conservatives take over these newspapers. Instant national media coverage. It would have kept obama out.
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

Part of me agrees with you because of the liberal bias. What a game changer it would have been to have a large section of the media reporting the truth.

I dropped my local paper when Bfealk ( yes, the DU'er) kept writing the Oakland Press about Ann Coulter, wanting her column dropped. They did, so I dropped them.

About the only prominent name I see missing from this distinguished list is the Washington Compost.  What do we need to do in order to bring that turkey down as well?
If you want to worship an orange pile of garbage with a reckless disregard for everything, get on down to Arbys & try our loaded curly fries.

to stop Uncle Sam from buying every fed worker in the DC area a copy
My fellow Americans, there is nothing audacious about hope. Hope is what makes people buy lottery tickets instead of paying the bills. Hope is for the old gals feeding the slots in Atlantic City. It destroys the inner-city kid who quits school because he hopes he'll be a world-famous recording artist.

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and Barack Obama?

One is a well turned-out, good-looking, and let's be honest, pretty sexy piece of eye-candy.

The other kills her own food.
