7. "Carolyn, Carolyn!!!!"

I was at my Aunt Willie's house in Alamo Heights, San Antonio, early 60's.

My parents were in divorce proceedings and I wanted my Mother to marry either Mickey Mantle or Harry Belafonte (her first husband was J P Richardson ).

Carolyn and I were in the parlor and she was teaching me 'The Water is Wide' when this old beater Chevy pulled up in front of the house.

Out stepped Harry and Joan Baez and they started walking up the walk.

Aunt Willie screeched (infer true Texas redneck)...

"Carolyn, Carolyn, there is a ****** and a Mexican coming up our walk. Get rid of them before the neighbors see them."

We all set in on the swings on the veranda and played until it was past night.

We still do it, every little once in a while.

From a thread about Joan Baez.

My God, Tom, what is so horrible about your actual life that you have to keep making up new ones?

He's a useless drunk.
"We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and then bid the geldings to be fruitful."

C.S. Lewis

A community may possess all the necessary moral qualifications, in so high a degree, as to be capable of self-government under the most adverse circumstances; while, on the other hand, another may be so sunk in ignorance and vice, as to be incapable of forming a conception of liberty, or of living, even when most favored by circumstances, under any other than an absolute and despotic government.

Also, while he was in a nonexistent SEAL team in Vietnam, we took some time off to tour the US on motorcycle:

J. P. Richardson was better known as The Big Bopper, killed in a plane crash with Richie Valens and Buddy Holly.

So far, TiT has not claimed he was wellstoned.

TiT's rural Texas childhood was littered with the rich and famous.

I thought he was in 'Nam in 1968.

Link speed is only 60 so he had to adjust the dates a little bit, now he claims that he was there in '70 & '71.

Seems to me he also claimed to be sixty several years ago, back in his award-wining prime.

He was in 'Nam in 1968 but he went in 1974.  That's the beauty of being part of a time traveling Seal team.
25 years ago we had Ronald Reagan, Johnny Cash and Bob Hope.  Now we have Obama, no hope and no cash.

So he was the second-most-decorated enlisted man in the history of the U.S. Navy at age 17-18.

Right before he was promoted to Admiral, I believe, yes.

And being a Marine/SEAL? That probably took some doing, I bet.

No problem.......when you buy what you need by shopping at a military surplus store and your local pawn shop.

Was that before or after he pulled a shotgun on the SecDef?

A question.

In a battle between Tom (and all he claims to be) and nadin (and all she claims to be) who would win?

We would.  :-)
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

In a way it is very sad to watch a person (even a shitbag poser) slowly losing their mental faculties.  Tit is a shadow of his former self with not even a remote chance for the DOTY.  Pitiful.

nadin would outsmart him.

Then he'd seduce her and kill her.

It would be a hell of a thread.

I tell you, TiT exploits in Vietnam were seared, seared into my memory. Wasn't this the same TiT who said he was a marine Sniper at the height of the Tet offensive?
maybe we should have him write an autobiography "TiT in Tet, a searing experience!" the forward could be written by John F Kerry.
