I imagine Alex Jones heavily armed, then I think about this rhetoric about having to have equal access to the same fire power as our US Military and law enforcement...Then I think about ignorant preppers. The run to purchase anything Guns. over 300 million of them and counting....Then I think of the Propaganda spewed by Fox all these years, how Obama is a Communist, socialist, Marxist, Brown Hitler...whip their asses into frenzied fear, then add as a kicker...he wants to confiscate your guns..

Some reason I am comforted that Obama is taking his oath literally.

I remember this same principled stand during Bush's tenure.

Here is your argument: "I didn't notice if you protested Bush, so you must not have, or at least you were ineffectual, so therefore you better not protest NOW, by God, with Obama in charge!"
 
Doesn't work that way.

A lot of squabbling ensues over whether or not you can criticize Obama and still be a good Democratic (their insistence, not mine).

What do they have to deal with?

That Obama kills Americans as guilty as a 16 years old can be (read: not at all) is, at worst a point of intellectual debate and the fact they're split over it means they tacitly accept it.

Their only concern is whether Obama will slow down the amount he robs from you to give to them.

But let's not fool ourselves: Obama has no intention and the GOP has no balls to ever allow that to happen.

I don't know of a single instance where someone was targeted by a drone attack who didn't desperately need to be killed, regardless of citizenship.

And in the Middle East, collateral damage isn't necessarily a bad thing.

The fact that the president is an anti-American democrat muslim doesn't change that.

Trying to find a legally-clean means to do traditional black ops as laid out in this memo is a path that in the long run can only lead to either an absolutely hamstrung government that cannot deal with any threat in a clandestine way, or declaring what is essentially open season on anyone who pisses them off anywhere in the world.

You could get both if you had the bucks, only the missiles would have to be kinetic terminal effect only, it's the explosive warhead that would actually be a problem with the ATFE.

I remember many conservatives against actions Bush took. From the Patriot Act (remember the hysteria over libraries giving the Feds your book list?) to deficits (1/3 of 0bama's). I have seen ZERO democrats be against 0bama and only read a very few posts. 0bama has done everything the low IQers accused of Bush doing but didn't.

As a retired Federal employee (Federal Reserve, USDA, DoD, Interior), I'll say that I broke the law an several occasions. Mostly for violating software licensing agreements with IBM, but in one instance resulting in a suicide by a contractor.

The administration CAN and WILL do whatever it takes to get the job done. Generally, it happens when your boss tells you to "do it, but don't tell me how you do it." Sometimes it's just "use your judgment, just get it done." These are blank checks for the eager Fed employee looking for a promotion. I'm sad to say that it included me. I knew that I could "do my thing", but I also knew that my supervisor would be absolved of any wrongdoing if I were caught. That's the way it works.

Now we have a "president" who thinks he can behave with impunity. How all this will play out will be interesting - if our nation survives!
