Republicans want a "Grand Bargain"? OK, here it is
The overwhelming majority of Americans will continue to tolerate a tiny minority of self entitled elites hoarding vast sums of obscene personal wealth in return for an adaquate fully functioning economic safety net for the rest of us. Without that minimum guarentee, the Social Contract is Null and Void. Class warfare will no longer be waged exclusively on battlefields of the super wealthy's choosing.
Peace and stability comes with a price, and that is the price. Deal or No Deal?
...With "an adaquate fully functioning economic safety net for the rest of us" meaning that you will take from everyone who has more than you do until they have even less than you, believing it means you will never have to actually work again. Even if you are so naive and gullible personally as to think a generous safety net won't be exploited by a cynical selfish majority of your fellow leeches, that's how it'll play out, take a look at SSDI now.
Of course the economics of that are impossible beyond the short term, though math is apparently too hard for Democrats. Even then it obviously isn't punitive enough to satisfy your little Commie buddies on DU. When the 'Deal' amounts to abject surrender followed by slavery, it's better to just fight it out and make you spend the effort to take what you're trying to steal by force and at some real cost instead of handing it over and saving you the effort, it'll hasten your ultimate destruction that way.
