Social and Political Issues Survey
« on: March 31, 2012, 04:52:48 PM »
My name is Ashe Perry, and I am conducting an undergraduate psychology study investigating people’s attitudes to a small variety of social and political issues in American society.

In order to participate in the study, respondents need to be American citizens 18 years of age or older. As part of the study, participants will rate their agreement or disagreement to twenty statements covering four socio-political topics. After the short survey, participants will be randomly assigned to read an essay related to one of the four topics. Once the essay has been read, participants will be asked to complete a short follow-up survey similar to the first. During the initial survey, a few basic demographic questions will be asked; however, no personally identifiable data will be requested or collected. All responses will be completely confidential. Participation in the study is purely voluntary, and participants may end the study at any time. No compensation will be offered. There are no expected risks for participants in the study. Depending on the length of the essay and how quickly the participants can complete the reading, the total time to complete the study should be 30 minutes.

Thank you for your time. I greatly appreciate your cooperation and assistance with this study.

Survey says: I'm just a zombie for owebuma.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

Another one hit wonder.

I went through it.  It seems like some poverty stricken queer with AIDS wrote the questions.

Let review a few of those questions shall we:

Quote
Gays and lesbians should be allowed all the same rights and privileges of heterosexuals.

In what way are they currently denied such rights?  Define "rights".

Quote
Access to affordable healthcare should be a right.

Define "affordable".  Define "right"

Quote
Drug usage is harmful to society

Define drug usage.  I take several prescription drugs to treat various medical issues.

I won't bother to go on.

I looked at the test, its 100% liberal tripe. Completely slanted. Followed by a liberal essay about cruel people refusing to help their fellow man. Don't take the test, it only promotes progressive propaganda.

People living on welfare need to work harder.

It is only the responsibility of churches or charitable organizations to care for the sick if they cannot afford treatment on their own.

This is designed to say conservatives are evil and liberals are the only good. The results are predetermined, so don't bother with the bogus questionaire

If he comes back, I really hope he puts my comments in his thesis if he's going to read it out loud. I can't imagine the chuckles from the students.

Cavers, don't you dare reveal my super-duper-secret, SCI/SSBI-required message. ;-)
