You hit the bull's-eye inside the bull's-eye, sir.
Well thank you, Frank. Last night it seemed like some sort of unusual insight; this morning I wondered if awareness of this wasn't fairly common (and I wasn't drunk, which is usually what causes late-night "great-ideas" to occur, such as, for example, making beer pie).
I started out thinking about the unbelievable venomous hatred of the Left, and how they're incapable of expressing a political opinion without that hatred--that's nothing new to us. I was thinking, "isn't it strange that they seem to
never be able to express an opinion without spitting hate," or at least there are so few posts of that kind (unburdened by hate) that we might as well say "never." The more I thought about it, the more odd that fact seemed to me. Then something gelled in my head (possibly my brain), and it occurred to me that giving expression to the hatred is the raison d'etre for their little online clubs, not the politics. Had they not been immersed in politics, they're the kind of people who would have found some other social outlet to shout their hatred of some enemy or other.
