I'm confused...just when did I become a RACIST?
« on: August 11, 2010, 02:06:55 PM »
I'm soooo confused and I really hope someone here can explain it to me.....

According to the DemocraticUnderground....I am a RACIST.

81. Conservatives are hard core RACISTS
They will never vote for Obama. That is the reality. Obama appears to have a deeply entrenched battered wife syndrome.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x8913039#8915142

According to the newspapers, the televisions, the liberal movie stars, the elected Democrats in political office .....I am a RACIST.

According to a large majority of registered Democrats.....I am a RACIST.

When did this happen? I don't remember?

Did I get hit buy a lightning bolt, and it messed with my memory?
Did I wake up one morning and decide today, and from now on, I will be a Racist?
Did a friend tell me, you will be a Racist or I won't be friends with you?
Did my priest tell me, God has decided you are to be a Racist, therefore you now are?

What happened to me? When did it happen?

Did I tell someone that I am now a Racist?
Do I wear a sign on my back...STAND BACK, I AM A RACIST?
Is there a big R branded on my forehead?

Everywhere I turn, these days, I am being told I am a Racist.

Why am I told I am a Racist?

Because I am a Republican?
Because I am a Conservative?
Because I am a white, female in my late 50's, Catholic and believe in God?
Because I have a job? I work for a living? I live in a nice house? My son volunteered to serve his country in the US Navy?
Because I don't use drugs? Believe marriage is between a man and a woman?

Because I like Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh?
Because I voted for George Bush? Not just once, mind you, but twice?
Because I don't like Nancy Pelosi because she's Italian, Harry Reid because he's an old white guy, Rahm Emmanuel because he's a Jew, John Kerry because he bought a sailboat, Robert Gibbs because he's a poor excuse for the Pillsbury Dough Boy?

No, I am told I am a RACIST because I don't like Barack Obama.

I didn't like Jimmy Carter.....no one called me a Racist. No one even told me I was Anti-Peanut Farmer.
I didn't like Bill Clinton.....no one called me a Racist. No one even told me I was Anti-Arkansas Lawyer who Lies and Gets BlowJobs in Ora..Oval Office.

No, I am told I am a RACIST because I don't like Barack Obama.

It matters not, that I think he is the worst president in decades.
It matters not, that I think he is weak, ineffectual, and submissive to our enemies.
It matters not, that I think he will bankrupt our country.
It matters not..... it matters not.....it matters not.....

Nothing matters....there is no logical, reasonable, sensible explanation for not liking or approving of Barack Obama.

The only possible reason I don't like Barack Obama is because I  MUST BE A RACIST.

Anyone who personally knows me, knows that I am not a Racist. Anyone that I love or loves me, knows that I am not a Racist.

Therefore, unless there is someone here who can explain to me how, when and where I became a Racist...I have made a decision.

Fifty-some percent of this country, who voted for Obama....have decided that anyone who didn't, is a RACIST.

The forty-some percent of this country, who did not vote for Obama....have decided that anyone who did...is crazy, ignorant, and living in a fantasy world.

I have decided to accept the RACIST moniker given to me by those who embrace Mr Obama.

I have decided that rather than argue with idiots over their use of a word with a negative meaning...I would  work to change the meaning of the word RACIST....make it a word that truly embraces MY opinion.

Thus, from this day foreward....RACIST shall mean...

Redheaded Adult Conservative Inores Stupid Troglodytes.

If anyone should like to add subsequent meanings to RACIST....all submissions will be considered, discussed and pondered.

You don't love and worship liberals as your intellectual and moral superiors.

That is all the evidence needed to convict you.

The liberals/ progressive are definitely brain damaged. They cry "racist" without just cause. The reason they do this is because they cannot debate someone's point intelligently.
Here's is a video from one of my friends friend on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=144176118945509&ref=mf  (Sorry, tried to grab a youtube, but there doesn't seem to be one.)

The answer is simple. When they scream racist the debate changes from the issues to us arguing that we are not racists. People who are intellectually lazy do this. If Obama was white then they would scream that we are haters and mean people. It just happens that he is black so they get to try to play the race card.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

And how would the DUmmies explain how Obama became President in the first place? On just the (ridiculously lopsided) black vote? But that much fact and logic is head-exploding stuff for any lib.

-----------------

They also define racism in a particular way--the sentiment of hating someone for his ethnicity alone PLUS the power to act upon that sentiment, OR simply being white, because we supposedly have an advantage in this society merely by dint of our skin color. This absurd definition was foisted on us in academia in the last 35 years for the express purposes of excusing black anti-white prejudice as not meeting the definition or racism, and also for the express purpose of indicting white people who honestly haven't an ethnically-inspired prejudicial bone in their bodies as racists merely by dint of their skin color.

This definition is, of course, pure crap. First, it IS the sentiment/feeling alone that defines racism, without any add-ons, and their relatively new and deliberately warped/results-oriented definition be damned. I don't accept it and no one should.  Second, in modern America blacks have plenty of power to harm whites. I've had black bosses, or have worked with black people who could easily have gotten me fired had they wished (none wished). Plus we now have Obama, Holder, and plenty of others ensconsed in some capacity in the federal government who ARE anti-white racists, and they have tremendous power. When Dinkins was mayor of NY, he instituted many anti-white policies, and deliberately allowed the Crown Heights pogrom to continue for 3 days by withholding police intervention, where mobs of black people demonstrated PLENTY of power by raging through the streets, looting and vandalizing Jewish-owned business, and keeping Jewish residents inside for days, in fear for their lives,. You can call that anti-Semitism, if that makes it any better.

There are plenty of poor white people--far more in absolute numbers than black people--but any one who turns to crime and picks up a gun and then robs someone at gunpoint ALSO has lots of power. If it's a black man robbing a white man, and he hates that white man for being white, that's racism by the mad academics' own definition.

Finally, people have been expelled from universities for not adhering to the speech codes that protect certain groups but not whites. White people have lost jobs because they've been held to a special standard, or because black people have been held to a lower standard. So Whites have been targeted for their skin color, AND blunt power has been wielded against them. That this meets their own nutty academic definition of racism has not escaped their notice; their excuse for this is that it only APPEARS to be racism but is not, because historically blacks were disadvantaged, it's only right that redress be made now, even though the white people who are being denied equal treatment based on their skin color had nothing to do with those past injustices.

To which sane people answer: you're creating definitions to suit your own, at-root, racist agenda, NOT out of any genuine empirical/sociological science.

If you're white, you were born that way.

Hey,...if queers are born that way and can't help how they are then I was born racist and can't help it...and damn liberals should just learn to be more tolerant of me and not try to change me...I can't change how I was born...blah-blah-blah and all that other touchy-feely BS.

Hey, I've been called racist before just because of where I was born. What pisses me off the most about this is that it takes away from the real racism that does exist. If we want to focus on racism (which I do), we need to focus on those that are actually racist. Racists come in all shapes, sizes, colors, genders, and they come from all over the world. Racists even voted for Obama. Racism isn't just about being black.

Of course it isn't. It isn't because your statement is true.

But all anyone has to do anymore is say anything negative about Obama to a Liberal, and one is "branded" a racist.

Heck, in Chicago, the ATM's are in English, Spanish and POLISH! Nobody was ever accused of being "racist" telling Polish jokes.....and every single joke made them look almost as dumb as a mud fence!

The sad fact of the matter is that being called a racist these days has lost the sting and stigma that being labelled that should justly bring.

Liberal politicians and Race Pimps like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton have used it so much to brand anyone who simply disagrees with their political philosophy that when every I get called one...I just smile.  If that's the ONLY retort someone has in a debate when I hit them with the facts...I know I don't have to say anything else...I've already won.

And it's truly a shame that the word "racist" has lost the original meaning and shame it used to invoke.  Because there are some truly small minded individuals on both sides of the political spectrum that so richly deserve to be branded with the title.

Off topic, but you can probably relate depending on where you grew up.

One of my closest friends in college, was Polish on both sides, and I was in her wedding after college in 1975, in a smaller town in central IL with a large Polish-descent population. Big Catholic wedding with the reception at the Knight's of Columbus Hall. The Knight's Ladies did the reception. Huge amount of delicious food, beautiful cake, what a party!.... all helped by this big fountain thing - on it's own table of prominence - of EVERCLEAR!!!! Oh my gosh....first time I had ever seen one of those, and have never seen one since!! My trip back to Omaha the next day, was soooo not pretty.  :(

where I grew up was primarily Scandinavian but there was a large population of Bohunks and pollocks. All were similar in that they worked hard & also played hard.

My husband and his family are pure Polish (both mother and father's sides) and he's originally from the west side of Cleveland.  We live in South Jersey, a.k.a "Sopranoland South", however, our last name isn't a truly recognizable "Polish" name -- it's only 5 letters long, ends in an 'a' and is reasonably pronounceable  :-).  Most of the other paisan here pretty much assume we're 'sort-of' Italian but maybe the family was originally from northern Italy (blondes).  Only the other Polish people my husband has as clients recognize the name and when they get together, let's just say a good portion of those old Pollack jokes have been turned into Italian jokes!  :lmao:
