No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

When I think of his sorry pitch all I can think of is a line from the old movie The Sandlot where the little boys are fighting and to shut the opposing team one of the boys said "You play ball like a girl!"

I love how he spends like 5 minutes setting up the pitch, like he knows he's going to get that strike, then...

Ron Karkovice.  Frank Thomas.  Luis Aparicio.  Joe Crede.  Those are just off the top of my head.

None of them currently play on the Sox, however.  I wonder if he even knows that Ozzie Guillen is the manager.

I can't get audio here, but I heard yesterday that he mispronounced "Comiskey Park" twice.

As I understood the question, it was as he was growing up.  Plus most of those players were from AFTER he moved to Chicago.

FWIW, I bet he couldn't name three current Cubs players, either.

Oh, and just in case someone wants to call me out on MY faves:

ANGELS Faves: (all-time)

Bobby Witt
Jim Abbott
Chuck Findley
Gary DiSarcina
Garrett Anderson
Nolan Ryan
David Eckstein

Current Angels faves:

Mike Napoli
Joe Sanders
Howie Kendrick
Torii Hunter

Remember, he thinks Cubs fans are not real baseball fans.  Therefore, he probably could care less who plays on the team.

His pitch went like his policies:  Many were hoping for dead center but ended up with wide left.
