People thats not the Tomb of the unknown.
It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

What is it then, Zeus?

Are you saying that TRG is making false claims about his participation as described above?

Well, let's look at these pics again. Granted, TRG's picture was taken in the dark and the background isn't well lit.

Here's one pic of the Tomb in the daylight:

And here's TRG's pic again:

I'm satisfied that TRG did EXACTLY what he said he did and that he's depicted in ACUs.

Furthermore, you didn't answer my question. If it isn't the Tomb of the Unknowns, then what is it?

You, sir, are administered a Bitch Slap. And, an apology might be in order.

Have a good Army day!

May be the tomb of the unknown but doubt TRG is officially on sentinel duty, especially in ACU's. Like I said if I am mistaken I will apoligise. TRG can hopefully clairify what's what.

I think he clarified everything in his original post.  He's guarding the tomb on a volunteer basis.  Why on earth would a volunteer wear the same uniform as a regular, trained Tomb guard?  That doesn't make any sense.   You questioning what is obviously truth, doesn't make any sense either.

If you had read the thread, you would've seen this, posted by TRG:

Quote
It definitely rates as THE coolest thing I've done in my military career.

This time every year one of the local VFW's throws a Christmas party for the Tomb Guards and their family.

The ask for volunteers for that night to come down to the Tomb and take up the guard duty for the night.

The first year I was here I didn't know about it...last year I got sick days before and couldn't do it...this year I was bound and determined to make it happen.

I had two walks Saturday night...and I'm forever in their log book as having walked as a guard.

Your grandkids can go there 30 years form now and look in the book for 13 December 2008 and see my name listed.

TRG is more than capable of defending himself, I'm sure, but I can't let this slide.

Please re-read the thread, Zeus, and see for yourself.

You've got to be shitting me right?

Zeus YOU of all people.  WTF over?

And for your information...the Tomb Guards themselves switch to ACU's and a roving guard after the cemetery closes at 1700.

That's when they train the new guys.  The first tomb guard reappears in full dress uniform the next morning at 0800.

But hey what the **** DO I KNOW.

I've only been stationed with the Old Guard for the last three ****ing years!

Zeus, that was out of line and inappropriate!! Even this dumb ass Squid can see what's what.  You SHOULD have asked, "Why the ACUs??". I'm not liking you very well right at the moment.......

FFS Zeus. I see SSG TRG, with what looks like a 1st Armored Division combat patch, and an MDW patch on the left soldier. I also see TRG in front of the Tomb of the Unknown.

Calling him a liar is low as hell. TRG has been in that unit for quite some time since he, IIRC, came back from Iraq and after being stationed at Ft. Hood. It's not like any mofo can walk up to the Tomb of the Unknown and start walking around with a service rifle.  :whatever:

Then you need to start working on that apology right now.  Cause you got a lot of pissed of Service Members here who are telling you that you are wrong, and stepped way outta line with these comments.

Awesome TX.

I didn't know about the ACU after hours thing.  Is there a reason for that?

How's that apology coming along Zeus?

Inquiries on what?  I've got your damn inquiries right here Zeus.  You want my ****ing phone number to confirm...or would you like to talk to the Platoon Sergeant for the Tomb Guards?

I can give you both.  PM me and I'll give them to you.

Perhaps you'd like me to post a picture of the Tomb Guards log book showing the entry with my name.

I'll be MORE than happy to provide that to you too.

Inquiries? You made a Damn insult to a member of the United States Army, who happens to serve in the Military District of Washington and works with that particular unit, and you have to wait for someone to come here and back up your asinine ****ing claim?
