Squeaky drawer
« on: October 30, 2014, 07:34:10 PM »
There is one drawer in the kitchen of the house I recently bought that squeaks.  Loudly.

It makes a sound similar to Chewbacca from the old Star Wars movies.  Amusing the first dozen times, then irritating.  I've tried waxing the supports and the drawer edges that rest on them.  Tried sanding the runners, too.  Neither has had an effect, good or bad.

Right now my computer is letting me watch youtube videos, either.  Some hitch in my antivirus that someone more savvy than me will have to fix.

Any ideas?

Any nails sticking through anywhere?  Is the drawer easy to close/open?

It is easy to open and close.  There is a nail head, a brad, sticking up toward the back on the right side.  I can't figure out how to get to it without removing the counter top.

I plan on wearing out the current counter top before replacing it.
