This guy cracks me up.  I know a couple of you have had a Saturn LS.  This is for you.

I had a 2000 Saturn LS. Noisy, underpowered, A/C completely sucked donkey balls (but the bun warmers worked great with the leather seats). I traded it in on the Toyota minivan I've been driving for 10 years now.

I've learned my lesson - never again buy an American car. They all suck.

The only two people I knew that owned an Echo were both gay.

Look how tired all of the seats look on that LS.

One more thing, I actually prefer to have the window switches down on the console rather than on the door.

The only thing that is bad about that is if the cupholder is near or over the switches, and somebody spills something on them.

We bought a 2002 Saturn SL2 in 2003 that had 30K miles. I had to change the idler pulley after a couple of years, but other than that just regular tune-ups and no problems with it.  It still gets over 30 MPG on the highway.

I loved my '00 SC2, drove it into the dirt, and then sold it to some kids up north who drove it more into the dirt.  I am very happy with the car I have now, but I miss "greenie" still.

I had a friend with a newer MR2 Spyder (convertible).  I never got a chance to ride in it.  I wonder if he still has it.

I almost bought an MR2 back in the day. I couldn't get my water ski into it.

I miss my 97 Mustang GT. Being 20 and with little job experience wasn't a good thing 2008. Got laid off just a the economic shit storm started. Took my last paycheck and put it all towards the car payment hoping I would find another job in time. I didn't, and watched my pride and joy drive away without me:(

Been there, done that.

In general, being 20 kinda sucks.  The things they don't tell you. :-)

I'm smarter, stronger, faster, richer and better looking than I was when I was 20.

At least, that's what I keep telling myself.   :-)

I may rent one during my next vacation.  Or maybe I'll rent one and drive it around town just for the hell of it.  I don't expect to be getting another vacation any time soon.

I had a 2001 Saturn L-100. I totalled the car, at the time it had I think 165K miles on it. The only thing that didn't work on the car: when it was cold, the parking brake would stick. The car ran well, looked great and the only major thing that ever went wrong was the clutch. I replaced it (myself) at 125K miles.

We still have our 2002 VUE. My son drives it. It also has a new clutch (@210K miles), I've replaced all 4 wheel bearings, the entire exhaust system and one (of the two) fuel pumps. He hit a deer with it about 3 years ago. I dug up a front right fender, headlight and bumper cover, had a friend paint to match and did the body work myself. The only thing that doesn't work on that car is the instrument panel/guages. It has approx 230K miles on it and again , it still looks good. ON EDIT: I also replaced the ignition switch/lock assy.

That was a good one.  I need to set aside some time and watch a few more of these.

Another questionable car review.  This one has poetry.

What is up with that goofy e-brake handle and those sun visors?

I saw somebody allude to a Delorean one in some comments, but couldn't find it!

I got one of my friends hooked watching these.  He has a 98 Dodge Ram.  :-)

I don't think they've done any trucks... maybe an SUV or two.  That would be interesting.

Okay, they did a Nissan Frontier.

There is a Dodge Ram in there too somewhere.

Or decide to go on a long trip; the luggage space is a joke. Bought a new 89 super charged one. Other than my Nissan 350Z and Infiniti G37 convertible, the MR2 was the best car I ever owned.

Many years ago, my brother hauled a pellet stove back to MO from OR.  He used his MR2 and a two wheeled flatbed trailer he hitched to the car.

On the way back, he got stranded off the interstate in WY for a few days because of a snowstorm.  I can only imagine how miserable that would be in an MR2.

My ex g/f sent me to Home Depot to buy 2 small potted trees. She was working in the front yard and when I got close to her house, she almost busted a gut laughing. I had taken the T-Tops off and the trees were sticking a good two feet above the roof top.

Was this in an MR with t-tops?  Nice.

I would like to go the record as being pro-t-tops.  They are much better than sun or moonroofs.  I don't have a reason, other than they are.

All the benefits of a convertible with none of the hassle.

All the benefits of a convertible with none of the hassle.

Rightly said, my automotive doppelganger.

When you think about it, modern cars with retractable hardtops are attempting to do the same thing that t-tops already did for much cheaper (and with less weight) years ago:  a top down driving experience with closed-roof looks and climate isolating capabilities.

It was only after I bought my B that I realized everything I really wanted in a convertible I had in my old ZX.

Man, I miss that thing.

Once I get rid of this damned Honda that's been bogarting my driveway, I'm buying another one.

I think most of the supercharged MR2's had T-tops. Mine did. Never had a problem with the top leaking either. I would love to find 89 S.C. that has less than 60k miles. Toyota added the traction control or limited slip d. as original equipment which was not offered on the 88.

Is that the one with the title issues?

How much do you have sunk into it?

Two grand and one missing certified letter that I needed to start on the paperwork.  I have to go back to the Post Office and sent another certified letter, but I've been too busy to leave the office and wait in line.
