Military Judo Tournament

A military judo tournament is being held at Ft Leavenworth, KS on Nov 14th. Anybody interested in going to watch?? I'm seriously considering going, but it IS an eight hour drive for me, possibly longer.

Tournament open to all members of U.S. Armed Forces, active duty,
reserve, national guard, and military academies who have current
USJI, USJA or USJF registration. USA Judo, Inc. membership
available on site. U.S. Head CISM Coach Ltc. Hector Morales will
use this event to observe potential members for the 2010 CISM
team.
(Verification of military status, and current NGB membership and
insurance must be submitted with entry form)

Competition Rules: Current IJF competition rules apply.
Entry Fees:
Tournament: $60 per contestant per division.
(make check payable to US Military Judo)
Awards: Olympic Size Medals for 1st - 3rd place winners in each
division. Team trophy for program with most winning competitors.
Divisions: The following standard weight divisions will be used:
Men: 55,60,66,73,81,90,100, over 100 (all in KG)
(Director reserves the right to combine divisions)
Women: 44,48,52,57,63,70,78,over 78 (all in KG)
(Director reserves the right to combine divisions)
**COMPETITORS MUST COMPETE AT THE WEIGHT THAT THEY PREREGISTER

Match Length: All matches will be 5 minutes in length.
Scoring: True Double Elimination Scoring will be used.
This will be a BLUE and WHITE event. Competitors who do not
have a BLUE uniform, will wear a blue sash. (blue sashes are
provided

Free for all Senior NAFJC competitors. Outside senior participants are invited
at a cost of $20 per person. All participants must have current NGB registration
and insurance.
