Shirtless in public - it bothers me.

Not in some weird Fundie Puritan/Victorian way. Because I am stillnunhappy with my appearance. I always thought of myself as wimpy and not at all muscular growing up, was decent as a younger guy. Late 40s, having gained a ton of weight, 55-60 pounds and then lost all but 5-10 lbs of it, let's just say that took its toll. Been trying to work in chest exercises and abs, but still uncomfortable.

I'm starting swimming lessons, in a busy pool, with a young female instructor at that. Not sexist, but I am more comfortable with male trainers - just seems like a guy thing.

My short term solution, I bought a couple of triathlon swim tank tops. Long term, I am vain enough to consider plastic surgery if I can't tone up through weight and resistance training. Honestly, I look better than a lot of the guys at the gym, some are very overweight, but I am insecure.

So, what is your take on this. Is there a line beyond which heavy men should stay covered in public? How about scrawny guys? Is it just as sexist as saying bad things about heavy women?

14. I decided to just "get over it."

Public pool, in a very large gym with a big diversity of members, a lot of guys very overweight, big beer bellies, and everything that goes with that. Trying to be objective, I look a lot better than many of the guys there. So, I got over it.

Dennis the Menace should wear a burka. Problem solved.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

He's probably going to try putting that plastic surgery to remove his man-boobs on a credit card, I bet.

Here's your answer.  Fen-phen.

Quote
The drug combination fenfluramine/phentermine, usually called fen-phen, was an anti-obesity treatment that utilized two anorectics. Fenfluramine was marketed by American Home Products (later known as Wyeth) as Pondimin, but was shown to cause potentially fatal pulmonary hypertension and heart valve problems, which eventually led to its withdrawal and legal damages of over $13 billion.[1] Phentermine was not shown to have harmful effects

Dennis, don't pay any attention to all that legal boilerplate mumbo-jumbo.

A bonus for drug addict DUmmies:
Quote
Addiction[edit]
The term fen-phen was coined in 1994 when Pietr Hitzig and Richard B. Rothman reported that this combination could presumptively remit alcohol and cocaine craving. The authors suggested that other combined dopamine and serotonin agonists or precursors might share this therapeutic potential.[11][12] Subsequent experiments in rats supported these preliminary reports.[13][14] In 2006 it was confirmed that the combination of phentermine and the serotonin precursor 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP), in place of fenfluramine, significantly decreased alcohol withdrawal seizures in rats.[15]
Intramural National Institutes of Health (NIH) double-blind protocols to demonstrate the efficacy of fen-phen in alcohol and cocaine addiction were designed,[16] but never performed.

I hope Dennis never finds out that, behind his back, all the other people at the gym are laughing about what a disgusting slob he is.

I'm not aware of any plastic surgery for fake muscles. Boobs yes. Muscles no.
Sorry stoopid Dennis, There is NO easy way out of this one.

and besides, you are legally INSANE. You have no money for elective surgery as you are in and out of the looney bin and can't hold a real job. Don't expect Obama care to make you look good either, you will end up facing a death panel long before the fake he-man panel: all those drugs are expensive.

Obama care will find it cheaper to kill you and most of the other DUmmies. Your future is to be killed by your own utopia.

Not very environmentally friendly to not offer paper.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

Point well taken. I'm afraid we will have to rely on 97% of scientists for a definitive answer.

BD brings up a good point--it's the burqa we're testing for breathability, not Dennis.
