A one-day spike in sales can't be counted on for affecting anyone's bottom line.

"If they don't listen (they wont) [sic] we make the next blackout longer (We will)."...I did a little digging into The People's Union (not a union) to learn what kind of economic power the group wields, and I'll be generous and just say that Jeff Bezos isn't losing any sleep over the nationwide economic blackout. As far as I can tell, The People's Union (not a union) is this guy named John (he wants you to call him Jai), and he has a nicely designed website.
Last week I wrote about the planned "economic blackout" which was scheduled to take place on Friday. The idea was to hold a nationwide boycott for the entire day as a way to protest the system. The guy behind it was John Schwartz a Midwest meditation trainer who created a group called The People's Union and announced his plan for the boycott on his social media accounts. Through a combination of luck and good timing he got a lot of attention from the media and celebrities. He gained about 200,000 followers and lots of people were planning to participate in his blackout.Schwartz posted a bio on is group's website but as the NY Times points out today, he left out something pretty significant. Given the dates of when the picture would have been taken and when Schwarz was convicted, it seems likely the court had in evidence a screen shot of the text message with vulgarities and picture, including the source of the message. So his denying is lying.
