Will never happen.  Evren if we make the huge mistake of abandoning them.

They will, without doubt, go down fighting.

I predict that the day the US officially repudiates and abandons Israel... there will be several mushroom clouds in the ME.

I'll try to find and post the transcript of tonight's press conference tomorrow, for those that were unable to watch it this evening.

Has anyone heard an answer yet??

no question answered

I cracked up every time he said "I won't lie to you" when everything he said before and after WAS a lie to us
My fellow Americans, there is nothing audacious about hope. Hope is what makes people buy lottery tickets instead of paying the bills. Hope is for the old gals feeding the slots in Atlantic City. It destroys the inner-city kid who quits school because he hopes he'll be a world-famous recording artist.

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and Barack Obama?

One is a well turned-out, good-looking, and let's be honest, pretty sexy piece of eye-candy.

The other kills her own food.

came out on time, with a nice little "pimp limp" swagger going on.

didn't see a prompter, but there might be one on the camera from the way he's staring at it.

huge TV on the back wall  (left side of picture)

if you watched his eyes you could see them going left to right

It was 57 minutes in length.
His speech was 6 minutes long.
He took 13 questions taking approximately 4 minutes each.

What a waste of time.  B.O.R.I.N.G.

none of which answered the question posed and nearly all of which wound up with education, energy, healthcare or 95% being in the answer.

As I briefly look at the man-child, because I can't stand him, all I see is his purple lips and dumbo ears.

It wasn't that I was unable to watch it, I just don't have a strong enough stomach for all the crap that's involved.

Instead, I started reading Mark Levin's new book. So far, it's excellent!

From Michelle Malkin...
Quote
8:01pm Eastern. POTUS/TOTUS on economic crisis: “It took many failures to lead us here.”

And you will be victims of many more!

Obama touts the tax cuts he signed into law. ($13/week that won’t buy you earrings worth Michelle Obama’s time.)

Obama assails the “illusion of prosperity,” while he adds to the illusion.

Assails borrow and spend, while espousing more borrowing and spending.

Re. AIG bonuses: “I’m as angry as anybody.”

(But Geithner is doing a heckuva job, and I’m not letting him go!)

***

8:07pm Eastern. AP’s Jennifer Loven gets first question…why pushing for new government authority of financial institutions? “I think there’s going to be strong support for this authority.” AP: “Why should people trust govt to buy up toxic assets?”

BO basically says: Because they will.

Refers to IndyMac as a success story. Hello?

Talks about the “tools” he needs.

Tools = power/control.

***

8:15pm Eastern. Jake Tapper gets a question. Right now, Senate Dems are writing a budget not including middle class tax cut, cap and trade, and other measures. Will you sign a budget if it does not contain tax cut and cap and trade?

I expect health care reform, blah blah. “I am confident that the budget we put forward will have principles in place. Middle class tax cut will be there for next two years. Cap-n-trade - the broader principle is that we have to move to a new energy era.”

Refuses to talk more about it, since he hasn’t read it.

Basically, he’ll sign it.

QUESTION Chip Reid: Thank you, Mr. President.

At both of your town hall meetings in California last week, you said, quote, ”I didn’t run for president to pass on our problems to the next generation.”

But under your budget, the debt will increase $7 trillion over the next 10 years. The Congressional Budget Office says $9.3 trillion. And today on Capitol Hill, some Republicans called your budget, with all the spending on health care, education and environment, the most irresponsible budget in American history.

Isn’t that kind of debt exactly what you were talking about when you said passing on our problems to the next generation?

PRESIDENT OBAMA: First of all, I suspect that some of those Republican critics have a short memory, because as I recall, I’m inheriting a $1.3 trillion deficit, annual deficit, from them.

An empty suit....clearly read his prepared script and knew the questions in advance.

Bush would tear him to pieces in a real non-scripted debate.

I was thinking about this today and I think Obama is less than an empty suit.  He's a complete wraith.  He was totally created by the media and without media feedback machines aka telepromptors, he ceases to exist.  He is nothing other than an echo of leftist media talking to itself.

It is amazing to me just how not real Obama is.  I mean, it is hard to exactly quantify not realness because how does one thing that is not real have more or less reality than another thing that is not real but I would say of all the not real things I can thing of, ie. unicorns, Santa Clause, Palmer Eldritch, Barak Obama, etc. Barak Obama has the least substance of all these unreal things.  Which is an amazing accomplishment when one considers anything that is unreal has zero substance so it is almost a paradox but not quite.  It is something that can seem to be discussed even though there is no word for it because it doesn't exist.  Obama is the Big Less-Than-Zero.

That is probably why he has the teleprompters at the far left and right because it means he is seldom directly facing the camera and has he shakes his head back and forth it creates the illusion that he there.  He become at least a vague blur like Bob Arctor in A Scanner Darkly.

Far from being the first "black" president, Obama is the first nonexistent person to ever be elected president.

Obama's viewership declines

Most TV shows start strong in the ratings, then decline as their novelty wears off.

Apparently that trend also holds true for the president's primetime telecasts.

According to the national Nielsen ratings, Barack Obama's Tuesday-night press conference lost viewers compared with his two most recent heavily covered evening events.

The news special drew 40.4 million viewers -- down 18% from from his Feb. 9 press conference, and down 23% from his Feb. 24 address to Congress. The numbers are the combined viewership from 11 cable and broadcast networks that carried the event.
