It was a private matter and there was nothing wrong with keeping it quiet. I’m sure the Under Secretary of Defense held everything together while Austin recovered. It’s not Austin stole top secret documents and hid them in his bed pan at the hospital?

Those who think transparency matters need to remember it works both ways. I get it’s a big deal, but for non national security reasons it’s not! Or maybe it’s because Austin didn’t want the public to worry? Whatever the reason? I am sure he will continue to do his job the proper way unlike the last administration staff!

I find it very interesting just how disengaged Brandon is.

With everything turning to $hit in this world and on the edge of WWIII, how he did not know or more likely was not told by the unelected bureaucrats actually running the show that the Sec of Defense was in intensive care for four days.

No communication with the Sec of Defense for four days? WTF!  :banghead:

BTW Brandon is up to 41% of his time "in office" being on vacation so that may explain at least some of this.

Then it turned out his deputy was acting SecDef.

But also she was on vacation.
