I gotta go with Big Dog on this.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

No bacons???  :???:
Poop.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

i wasnt always homeless. i have an old radio shack 2 meter radio that i use now with AA batteries. they'll last you a good while if you dont talk too much. bigger problem i have is keeping it from corroding if batteries are kept in it for too long. about 8 months ago, i had a Yaesu HF rig (i'm an extra) and i sold that. i miss it. had a lot of fun at the field day events each year working some SSB and CW.

You've been online an awful lot today.  Does the library have a gold plated seat with your name on it?
"We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and then bid the geldings to be fruitful."

C.S. Lewis

A community may possess all the necessary moral qualifications, in so high a degree, as to be capable of self-government under the most adverse circumstances; while, on the other hand, another may be so sunk in ignorance and vice, as to be incapable of forming a conception of liberty, or of living, even when most favored by circumstances, under any other than an absolute and despotic government.

How would the post-apocalyptic wasteland be different for a homeless guy?

1. No food stamps
2. Nobody to beg spare change from.

Other than that, samey-same.

I used to help a little with a MARS station in a place far away, a long time ago.  It was interesting.
A couple of our birds even had an HF set-up. That was even more fun when we were talking to some guy in Chicago.
I don't think he ever believed where we were talking from.

Homeless, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life.

Case in point: Snazbo, King of the Hobo Hams.

poor, working for a 21 yr old HS drop out, and driving a pinto to work everyday is no way to go through life either.

case in point: little puppy, king of cleaning shitters when told to. little puppy always does what he's told to do.

As someone who interviews and makes recommendations for hiring (and this is an employers market), I have one question that is your kryptonite:  "Can you explain this gap in your work history?"

The jobs are there, ****o, just not for those who are "too good".

So, let me repeat something you should get used to hearing:  "Thanks for coming, we'll be in touch, shut the door on your way out".
"We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and then bid the geldings to be fruitful."

wasp69 speaketh the truth.
The more and longer gaps on your resume, the less chance of you getting that cushy sit down job.
Like my Dad used to day "The world needs ditch diggers Danny".

wasp said it well, but just on the off chance you're parked on your ass in that library you like to hang out in (because the taxpayers are paying for your heat, and your porcelain throne, and the water fountain that you drink out of, not to mention the computer you type your vermin-riddled drivel on), when you're in a position to pay your own way for your own housing (that is, apart from the cardboard box you currently live in) and your own transportation, you don't really have shit to say to the guy or girl that DOES drive a Pinto to work.

How do YOU get to work, son? Shoe leather, right? That is IF you had a ****ing job.

But you're accustomed to living the leech lifestyle and apparently are perfectly happy sucking resources out of the public trough -- not because you're unable, or physically handicapped, but simply because you're ****ing lazy.

So sit back and read these words, leech, because you can't respond to them. Why? Because even on a political discussion board, you've been shown to be unworthy even of commiserating with those who DO work and do contribute to society.

You do nothing but breathe air, shed and house vermin, and consume valuable resources.

Come back when you grow up, shitstick.

When ever someone mentions HAMs, I think of an old HAM that's been dead and gone quite a few years now. As a teenager, I'd sit in his radio shack and listen in as he talked all over the world on a Globe King radio. CQ...CQ...CQ.....this is .........His call sign was K4WTF....I wonder if thy would let you have that call sign now.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin
