iTunes for Dummies - No, not those dummies! ME!

(1/1)

DixieBelle:
Okay, I just went to iTunes for the first time. Son got a gift card for Christmas. I signed up, downloaded a few songs for him to our PC...now how in the heck do I get them onto his MP3 player? Which is not an Apple...it's a sandisk or something else....

I tried everything I could think of. I know it's really obivous....help!  :-)

RightCoast:
I don't think you can, I've never tried but I believe iTunes is proprietary.

RightCoast:

--- Quote ---iTunes works with several music players, but songs purchased on the iTunes Store play only on iPod and iTunes-enabled mobile phones. For information about which players are compatible with iTunes, click the link below.

For more information about connecting or disconnecting your iPod, see the documentation that came with your iPod or visit the iPod website.

If you save the iTunes songs on to a CD, you can then burn them on to your MP3 player. It's a long process, but it can be done.

DixieBelle:
^I thought so...Kiddo asked for an ipod. People gave him ipod crap. Turns out he realized that he could take the money given to him for the ipod and he could buy a no-name brand mp3 player for a lot less.

*Smiling at my budding little Capitalist who is realizing how to make money go farther*

Now I'll go figure out the burning/ripping from the CD.

Thanks!!
