The Last Unicorn
Edited on Fri Oct-03-08 01:41 AM by undergroundpanther
I was talking to my therapist, telling her how alienated I feel, alone an alien in an alien world.I told her I felt like the last unicorn. After all being a technicolor flying panther with horns isn't a common thing I guess.

I am beginning to think I very well might be the last one,out here at least.

I am here, can't go anywhere, and I am so lost..It hurts.I wait. I do my best to cope. But as far as I can tell, I see no others like me here. The more I look the more people seem the same. The normalcy is all consuming and everywhere.Everyone wears the same things, sound the same way so much of the time it just makes me feel worse. So many people seem so much the same its scary. And that sameness has no place for a cat like me.

Surely there's at least one more at the DUmp. Maybe it's the horns that have her isolated.

By the way, I think this is the first time we've heard about colors, horns, and aviation.

Now this is another example of how the mental healthcare system is a failure.

UGP has been in and out of institutional care most of its life. It has had numerous different shrinks and other assorted head doctors. Most of which will have been on public purse. They have made the situation worse. IMO they've done this to justify their own paycheck and ensure that the tap will never be turned off.

It seems to me that at least some of these so called professionals have been activly encouraging this "technicolor panther" belief, rather than attempting to prevent it. I should also note that UGP drops head doctors fairly frequently, thus I'm assuming that the ones it drops are the ones that attempt to get it to realize that the belief that one is a "technicolor panther" is just ****ing insane.

Those (so called) doctors that don't discourage UGP's more ... out there ... beliefs, especially the ones that are on the public purse, should be given the chance to investigate the career opportunities in the field of burger flipping.

****ing narcisist. If the thing would realize the world doesn't revolve around it, things would improve. It's like UP stopped maturing right at toddlerhood; even my three-year-old now realizes that there are consequences to her actions. UP hasn't matured to that point.

Let nothing frighten you.

God alone suffices.

Doesn't everyone remember UGP's last foray into the World of Work?

Quote
I suppose saying **** you Would be Unprofessional than?

When someone in a position of authority over you, like your supervisor, asks you do to do something, invariably, it is interpreted as a demand. Saying "no" risks the charge against you of insubordination, which would elevate your chances of being fired, a frightening experience to contemplate. Interestingly, in the aboriginal group called the Semai,(which I have just learned is part of the Orang Asli from this map), known for their nonviolence and fun loving attitudes, it is very easy to say no. The children of Semai are taught from an early age, the concept of "bood." If a parent asks a child to do something and the child replies "I bood," in other words, "I don’t feel like doing that," the matter is closed. The parent never tries to force or coerce the child to do something it does not want to do! As a consequence, Semai society is nonhierarchical. There are no formal leaders, no police, courts or government and best of all, there is no violence! Unfortunately, this nonhierachical society is defenseless against domination systems, such as corporations, which are currently decimating their tribal lands. They say that the language we are taught prepares us for the society we are going to be living in. Language having the above four characteristics prepares us to live in a domination system where a few people (largely hidden from view) will control the large majority. I am not satisfied living in such a system.

(more crazy shit...)

I think the subway cat could cope if she got a job.

I don't know anyone that would hire her.

In Nebraska, especially in Omaha and Lincoln, people like subway cat are those who run around with those orange vests picking up trash from the streets and sidewalks.  It's part of their vocational rehabilitation--jail inmates, the mentally challenged, halfway house residents, whatnot.

Some resent it, but most come to like it.  And they're paid for it too.

Actually, I think the biggest obstacle the subway cat would have, would be that she would HAVE to be at a certain place at a certain time on a regular basis.  One gets the impression the subway cat lives a sort of anarchistic, chaotic life, and would find doing that harder than actually working.

But.....if the world the subway cat wishes to have, comes about, remember the old adage of Vladimir Lenin: "He who does not work does not eat."

Also, for the record, remember the subway cat is 42-43 years old.  A lot of life wasted.

She lives in Baltimore, right?

Why doesn't she just walk from the Inner Harbor to Ft. McHenry, and take the shortcut across the bay?

I wish.

She reminds me of the various loserly boarding-house residents I've met in my life.  The alchoholics, the mentally damaged.

Her "male feline counterpart" may be in "his" 40's, but I thought UGP was in her early/mid 20's.

Various of her comments over time indicate she's middle-aged.  Her web-site alleges 42 years, but that might have been posted a while ago, so I use '42-43 years'.

Well now, you got me, Chris, sir.

I went to all those pictures.

I wouldn't say 'under-thirty,' though.

But one also has to remember these photographs might be 10-15 years old.
