That's supposed to be funny, and it is, but it still breaks my heart.
I happen to own parrots and to see one like this is awful. Hard to tell, but I think it's a Greater Sulphur-crested cockatoo. They are beautiful birds, but when they're raised poorly (meaning spoiled because they're so demanding), they often resort to self-mutilation like uncontrolled feather picking. It takes people who are really willing to deal with cockatoos to own them without significant issues like this, and I ain't one of them.
