We're fortunate that Trump was an incompetent imbecile
Imagine an efficient, intelligent person with Trump's narcissism, lack of conscience and hunger for permanent power. Had such a person been president for the past four years, we would now be living in a dictatorship.
However, the Republican Party has many presidential wannabees who fit that description and will be contenders in 2024. Trump and his minions established the blueprint for ignoring the constitution and doing whatever he wanted to do. The Republican Party and millions of MAGAs went along with it.
Right now, our democracy is teetering on the edge of a cliff. If the GOP has their way, they will own us all after the next two elections. They are at all out war with us. And it's past time for us to fight back like our lives depended on it. Because they do.

My first thought was what experience does the Cyrano primitive have with “efficient, intelligent” people? It’s certainly not on a personal level or with anyone on the political left. Simply put, the type of individuals and groups he admires are far removed from efficient and/or intelligent.

That was so strange back in the GWB era, that DUmmies would alternatively call him stupid one day and the next refer to him as an evil diabolical genius.
At least we know with Biden that he's just, basically clueless, feeble and old. An amiable doofus who follows orders by his handlers.
