DUmmies, U haz it.
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

It goes deeper than that. It's a mental condition. A problem with ideologues. They blame Bush, the President, when the economy was shit....which happened after Dims took control of Congress, not Congress, now they blame the Republican 1/2 of Congress when the shit is the same, but the President is a Democrat. The moral of the story here is that for them, the Republican is always to blame. Obama could have a bunch of nuns marched out of the most charitable orphanage in the nation and personally behead them all and they'd find a way to praise Obama, and blame Republicans and Bush. It's a SERIOUS mental illness. I blame Nixon and Reagan. I think it was them that defunded a lot of the mental institutions. 4/5ths of the people posting on DU right now, and 6/10ths of the Dims in office would definitely qualify for committal.

Pretty sure that it was Carter that did that because the ACLU sued the government over keeping the LUnnies in the LUney bin.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Personally, the increasing agony and despair of the DUmmtards has made me feel considerably BETTER than I did after the election in 2008.

They deserve a great deal more pain than this.

How many of you feel worse off than you did 5 years ago?

Will this country ever recover from the Bush years? There are fewer jobs now. Most new jobs are part time (and of course, everyone blames Obamacare). The pay rate has stayed level, or has gone down. So tell me, less jobs, equal or less pay than before, less hours? The middle class is disappearing at an alarming rate. What happened to the American dream? And now the GOP wants to cut billions from the less fortunate. OMG, when will this stop?

My salary has decreased drastically in the past 5 years. Some because of lack of jobs, some because of my age and trying to find a job. I am currently unemployed again, and have been looking for months. I had been doing IT contract work since 2007, and even that has been hard to come by lately. When I apply for a $10.00 and hour job, they see my previous salaries and trash my application. I've been rejected many of times in the past two months for these types of jobs. My goal is just to survive until retirement. If it weren't for my wife still being employed, we would be on food stamps, and lose everything we own. She's going to retire soon, as her company is putting pressure on her to leave. Once that happens, I'm afraid we'll be in the soup lines like the millions of people are now. 10 years ago, I was on a pretty good track to survive until retirement. Over the years any savings we had has dwindled down to nothing. Now it looks bleak, and I don't know if we'll make it. The economy is still in disarray, and I don't see a fix anytime soon. What has happened to the American dream? Is it still out there?

Please share your thoughts on this as I'm sure others have encountered this , especially in the age group above 50.

Well, Mr. DNC® (D)Ump agitator, wasn't it fortuitous for Clinton therapist to be able to ride that Bush1 economy for so many years?

You can't have it both ways.

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.

Oh dear DUchebags, just wait until you get your new Obama HellCare package.

ECONOMIC PAIN:
Premiums are going to double.
Co-pays may triple.
Deductibles may quadrupole.
Employee contributions will quadrupole, if even offered.
Spouses will be dropped from employer plans.

If people are forced to pay more for less they will be using it more so get ready for the other side of the smartest man in history's plan.

TREATMENT PAIN:
Wait times for appointments will be greatly increased. Week waits will now be months wait.
Surgery scheduling will go from weeks to months, many months.
More doctors will go to concierge service. For DUche lurkers that means not available to you.
There will be a severe doctor shortage. This will be due to much more demand, concierge service, and experienced doctors taking early retirement.
Former services performed by a doctor will now be done by PAs. Less experience but same cost.
Many treatments will just not be n the menu anymore.
Get used to going to clinics and waiting.
Those on Medicare will have $70 billion less each and every year. Somehow this fixes the medicare problem.

All of this pain to get 30 million people insured of which only 12 million will actually get insured.

Nanzi told us this would be great because now you could write a book, make a painting or just jack off all day and not worry about having a job with health insurance. Pelousey says alot of stupid shit and she was third in line to the presidency. Scary.

But the problem is, the primitives haven't yet felt enough pain.

They deserve a great deal more pain than this.

This is the crux of the entire problem.  Our free (was kinda sorta) market society has taken the pain away.  The quote/unquote "poor" here, are better off than over 50% of the rest of the planet.  Unemployment benefits alone put them over 50% of the rest of the planet.  If the population at large felt just 1/2 the pain of the Roosevelt Depression, heads would be rolling in DC, Hussien would be a historical footnote and we could get back on track.

However........

I wouldn't say "However."  The Dems seem bound and determined to bring the US back to those days.  We'll see just how good things are for them, then.  Not saying that it will happen that way, but, ya never know!

I can honestly say there hasn't been a single year since the onset of the Reagan Boom when I haven't felt better off than the preceding year. Not one. On paper there are temporary fluctuations due to market forces, both negative and positive, but if you connect the dots, read the arcs, and recognize the trends, it has been unbroken upward prosperity.

I still get my brokerage statements on paper. Whenever I read one, I just smile and say, "Bush's fault." I hope that makes DUmmies feel bad.
