The money CNN spent on this set could have fed and clothed every homeless person in NH
Edited on Mon Jun-13-11 10:27 PM by Atman
Why can't they just stand on the stage a the local Grange Hall? Okay, so maybe the Civic Center. But really, the money spent on that set for a 90 minute stage show is absolutely shameful.

Think of how many people could be fed from the money spent on just one 0bama vacation.

1. The money you spent on your computer and electricty to run it could help fund
clean water for people in the undeveloped world.
:lmao:
-
How many people could have been fed with the money spent on Obama's coronation as the Dem candidate, and then his inauguration?
-
The money Pedro Picasso's wife gives him for lunches for just one month could put a new set of tires on bobbo the hobo's Buick.
-
How many homeless people could the media feed with what they spent on digging through Sarah Palin's emails?
-
If you were truly homeless, why on earth would you stay in New Hampshire?
That place gets colder than a well digger's ass.

One could say the same thing about Maine and Mass. Hint: welfare bennies. They got them there, they don't get them here.

How much was spent on O'bama's acceptance speech at Invesco Field? Hmmmmmm

DUmmies are ingrates.
Think about it, DUmbasses--CNN is one of the few outlets left still knob-gobbling Obumbles. They're his only hope to getting re-elected next year, and even then it probably won't be enough.

Wasted away again in Obamerville....
Sorry I just couldn't resist dropping this for lurking dummies to Oogle.
Feds Plan Huge Campground - in Brooklyn
Old airfield could host 600 sites, says National Park Service

Roasting marshmallows, telling ghost stories and sleeping under the stars - in New York City?
The National Park Service is planning a 600-site campground in Brooklyn's Floyd Bennett Field, a onetime airport used by Amelia Earhart. The campground would be the largest urban tent-pitching site in the nation, according to Interior Secretary Ken Salazar.
"We want to make New York the leading example of what we can do around the country with urban parks," Salazar said.

BTW if you go to the link there are some great comments.
And here is one of the Urban Parks in beautiful, yet still a bit brisk, Portsmouth, NH.

and a link to the story ( you may have to register if you are not clever enough to avoid it ) about the homless ( formerly called bums ) who run it.
Obamervilles are now all over the country, feel free to post those in your city or town. :fuelfire:

This should remove any doubt that CNN is politically biased.

Atman reallly didn't want to go there, with the ostentatious luxury that his president wallows in.
Zeitgeist, I couldn't see any comments at the NBCNewYork site. Can you copy a few?

That is exactly what I was thinking. Hoovervilles, obamavilles, FEMA camps, whatever. Welcome to the deindustrialized USA.
I wonder if this is where our government will send the climate change deniers?

I'm sure there's all kind of money in the federal budget for this. We cant take care of or afford the parks we have now.

What is the point? Why would I want to go camping in Brooklyn?

Somewhere else on Drudge is a story about a big brawl on the NYC subway. Can you imagine that when you're trying to backpack the subway on the way to camp in Brooklyn? I thought people camped out to get away from the city. There's also a problem with not being able to defend yourself in NYC. No thanks.

"The plan is one of several initiatives aimed at improving access to the outdoors in the New York region under President Obama's America's Great Outdoors campaign." Translation: Welcome to Obamaville, New York!
"'We want to make New York the leading example of what we can do around the country with urban parks,' Salazar said." Translation: An Obabmaville coming to a community near you!

Thanks, Zeitgeist! Isn't it almost Orwellian..."Obama's Great American Outdoors Program." Uh, yeah.
Anyway, can't smoke there or carry a gun. I won't be going.

Am I the only one that was surprised that the OP wasn't bobbothehobo?

But why would they want to do that? If you feed and clothe them, they'll never go away.
My parents would never let me put out food when stray cats came around.

That headline has to be photoshopped. The only way I can see that appearing on CNN would be in an opinion/blog piece, and probably not even there.

It's real. It was changed, but the original title is still in the source code for the article.

And then there is the whole feed the birds thing. When you start you have to keep it up. And, around here don't be surprised if, in addition to birds, you attract a bear or two. :o

Well, I like to feed hummingbirds and finches. Unlike winos, they're nice to look at.
For some reason, I can't get hummingbirds until late July, after they've nested.
Then I'll have six or seven at a time, fighting like pit bulls, until they disappear the first week in October.
I know they're around in March and April, but they never show up at my feeders. I wonder why that is?

my mother always said " When you start to feed the birds in the fall you better be prepared to feed them all winter." If you quit, they quit.
Haven't seen any hummers yet but they love my flowering crab. And m/zeit grows lots of stuff they love.
