Memorial Day 2021
« on: May 31, 2021, 09:29:21 AM »
In remembrance of the men who gave the ultimate sacrifice fighting for our country ...

And to their families on this day.

A tribute from Lee Greenwood:

Please pray for our country in these turbulent times ...
It really is the best in the world & I can't stand the thought of losing it.

Freedom, Truth, and the USA!!!

You're a class act, ABC, and thank you.

I'm one of the lucky ones. Served for 20+ years, never in a combat zone. Things could've gone bad in Berlin, but through the strength of one Ronald Reagan, and one could argue JFK, the Soviets never sent in their 20+ combat divisions to oust the brigade that was there.

I was on orders for 3rd Armored Division, arriving in Feb. 91. Orders canceled due to what the Army called "Stop Loss." The ground war started later that month. My being there, evidently, would've upset that particular apple cart.  :-)

Anyway, thank you for acknowledging this most solemn of holidays. We all are where we are because of those who gave their last full measure of devotion.
