DUers now in 15 states have raised over $780 and the $250 match for Omaha Steve for City Council

Title corrected.

People here in Bellevue can't believe a small local race is getting so much out of state support. It is unheard of.

A few with multiple donations. NY, TX, CA, IN, NE, IA, FL, GA, IL, MI, AK, VA, WI, NM, and now UT!

Thank you. My web site goes live next week.

OS

Just wait until the out of state support for your opponents starts.

The mere fact that you post at the DUmp will ruin you.  I'm so looking forward to sharing your beloved 9/11 forum and other personal gems you've tossed over the years to all of your opponents.

Well, those are the numbers he'd better be reporting on his campaign finance forms.

There's a problem, though.

Since these are primitives, probably much of it is "promises" or "pledges," not cash actually in the big guy's hands.

He's required to report only the actual cash received.

But if he's claiming that amount to the primitives, cash and pledges, the big guy better report to the bureaucrats in Lincoln what he's reporting to the primitives.  If he doesn't, the bureaucrats are going to ask him, "Hey, you've claimed to have raised x amount on Skins's island, but you've alleged only y amount on our forms here.....explain the discrepancy, please....."

I told my fellow Nebraskan to announce to the primitives only the cash received, not any of the promises or pledges.

This is not going to end well.

It will end well for everyone except Omaha Steve.

Well, my fellow Nebraskan knows how it's going to go.

If he tells the voters of Bellevue the same things he's told the primitives on Skins's island, no problem.

But if he tells the voters of Bellevue things opposite from what he's told the primitives, problem.

If he reports to the bureaucrats the same amount he reports to the primitives, no problem.

But if he gives the bureaucrats monies different from what he gives the primitives, problem.

The big guy hasn't listened to franksolich yet, and probably won't.

Running your campaign from Democratic Underground sounds like a good way to lose.

I told him that, months ago.

And even running his campaign from a respectable location, the big guy was already up against big odds as it was.

He should take some of that money and extend his star. After all, he need to be able to reach his donor base.

From all that I know of Bellevue, I would've given my fellow Nebraskan circa a 10% chance of winning if he'd cut his association with Skins's island several months ago, when he first started talking about running.

But he didn't, and so now his chances of winning are a decimal point in front of the %.

I'm anxious to see what he tells the voters of Bellevue how he thinks of the Second Amendment.

Among other things.

I forgot to back out some local donations in the total DU figure. As of this moment, DUers have donated $833 and the $250 match. That is $1083 in less than 2 weeks.

Even the $5 individual donations add up.

There are a few checks in the mail too.

I THANK YOU ALL.

A DUmbass and our welfare money are soon parted.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

We should all mail him a large check.......

Great idea.

Well...mailing him something anyway. Maybe something like a small plunger that you can get in a dollar store. He can use it on his job.

That was my first thought, the DUmbasses are just throwing good money after bad.

Another thing we could do, is mail him those fake checks that are actually a coupon for something that you have no interest in buying.  :-)

Something tells me he should have used nads and her knowledge of campaign finance laws so that he might not end up not as a member of the Bellevue City Council, but as a convicted felon for fraud and election violations.

And that's all there is to it; just an appeal for money.

No information on what the big guy thinks, what he proposes to do.....or anything.

Just an appeal for money.

How about you and I sit back and have a one-page Tucker & franksolich site appealing for money, without telling why we're soliciting it?  Maybe we can get some pocket-money out of it?  I dunno, but probably not.

I doubt if this is really an issue, but there's something odd.

The campaign treasurer lives in Papillion, which is a city different from Bellevue.

The big guy's own treasurer can't vote for him.

There's probably nothing wrong with it--I dunno--but I'm sure if franksolich were running for surveyor of Knox County, and his treasurer was a resident of Rock County, a primitive or two might make an issue of it.

It's not unusual.  Campaign managers/staff rarely if ever live the district of the candidate.

His website is paid for by someone who lives in Bellevue.
