It's a conservative bumper sticker site and it really says something about the conservative mindset.

They aren't so much about supporting ideas and views as much as attacking people who differ.
Everything is presented in the negative.

I would expect any liberally oriented website to primarily present ideas and not simply ridicule the opposition.

This is another indication why there is no civil discussion of the issues in Washington.
The right expends most of it's energies to demean others rather than working on serious national policy.

They're so easy to irritate and they hate being laughed at.

Personally? I started reading DU because I couldn't believe Americans were saying the things being said there, and since I've always been around normal Democrats it really was a shock. People at DU have no idea what normal Democrats feel and say about them because they isolate themselves in their own little world, they want to suppress views that are different from theirs. They're not the norm at all.

I've been doing this since we started the B/W forum at CU in March, 2004 and have yet to figure out why a small group of people pointing out how stupid they are gets under their skin.  The closest I ever got to an answer was one telling me they were having serious discussions among themselves and shouldn't be subjected to criticism.  If that's their answer, then you gotta be kiddin' me.

Point being that we're just poking fun at them, they should accept it, and just keep entertaining us with their stupidity as though we aren't here.

I tend to think they feel less constrained to spew their non-sense when they believe no one is looking.  That they are aware might hinder them, but I can't argue with what you said, either.  I admit that does have its own entertainment value.

I know there used to be normal democrats, thirty years or more ago, but I can't understand how they could possibly still exist.

Since then, the party has become totally centered on pandering to sexual perversion, slaughter of infants, hatred of Christians and Jews, dependence on government charity, class warfare, and hatred of American traditions and values.

How can a normal person embrace that? Not possible.
