No, not really. They become "peopled", as in accepting human as friends.
If done right, they can be acclimated back into the wild. Just takes time.

My ex-FIL had quite a few regular squirrel friends. They would sit on his shoulders and eat the nuts he put in his shirt pockets.
Nowadays, we have a little red squirrel and a chipmunk who come up on the deck and are both fun to watch. They enjoy the maple helicopter seeds that float down. Now that my strawberry plants are ripening, we had to move the portable planter box from the wooden bench they were on, onto the very top of the stainless steel grill. They were
both getting into them I think. After moving, so far, so good.
