Hard Hat Pledge in NYC - "We Won't Build It" (WTC Mosque)

Quote
A growing number of New York construction workers are vowing not to work on the mosque planned near Ground Zero.

"It's a very touchy thing because they want to do this on sacred ground," said Dave Kaiser, 38, a blaster who is working to rebuild the World Trade Center site.

"I wouldn't work there, especially after I found out about what the imam said about U.S. policy being responsible for 9/11," Kaiser said.

The grass-roots movement is gaining momentum on the Internet. One construction worker created the "Hard Hat Pledge" on his blog and asked others to vow not to work on the project if it stays on Park Place.

I am glad to see them stand up against it

I hope these guys/gals stand tall and don't build this victory mosque for that great "religion of peace". That is good to hear.
Let the cavemen build it themselves and we can walk in there dragging some bacon on the floor, since it will be "open to all people of all all faiths".

Unfortunately with unemployment in NYC and the slowdown in construction being what it is, it doesn't take a whole lot of people crossing to render this pledge moot.

Just let Union workers build it. It's take 5 years longer than planned and run 10X's over budget.
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”
