So one sort of expected the big guy would write at least a short essay about Labor Day or labor, in honor of the day.

Streets were damp but spirits high at Omaha's annual Labor Day celebration union
Drippy conditions didn’t dampen Monday’s Septemberfest parade. Instead it brought out colors.
Red and orange ponchos. Polka-dot and striped umbrellas. Even white and gray canopies.
Nor did the wet conditions dampen the spirits of those participating in or watching the parade. Many hundreds of people marched, pulled giant balloons and drove all manner of vehicles in the parade to the delight of crowds gathered along the route. Support for labor, community, family and patriotism were evident everywhere.

That's it, nothing else. As usual the big slob just borrowed a paragraph out of the
Omaha World-Herald to fill his forum.
In case one's not aware, his forum is named in honor of Omaha Steve, with the quite reasonable expectation that he'd fill it up with all sorts of things, including his personally-written literary efforts and articles and commentary from sources other than just the
Omaha World-Herald. When the forum was set up, I'd looked forward to reading the big guy's "take," the big guy's commentary, the big guy's own observation of people and events.
One regretfully concludes he's literarily retarded.
He spends perhaps two minutes a day associating with, and illuminating, his fellow jackpiners. As he's retired, I dunno what else he does, other than that he doesn't clean house or wash-and-dry the dishes or sort the laundry or make the beds or take out the trash; that's poor dear Marta's job.
Seriously, does this warrant the gift of one's own forum?
