The right-wing extremists that want to ban abortion claim the fetus feels pain during the procedure. They perform abortions under anesthesia and the theory that the fetus can feel pain is not proven, but that's what they say.

The theory that gunshot victims feel pain...well, that's not a theory. It hurts to get shot, and that is a known fact. Therefore, if we Must Ban Abortion Now because of a fringe theory that fetuses feel pain, we Must Ban Guns Now because of the established fact that getting shot hurts like hell.

Well, the only people we do not object to seeing in pain are violent criminals. We believe we have a right to do whatever is necessary to interdict their designs against innocent people even if that interdiction results in pain against them.

It should be noted that unborn children are NOT violent criminals.
