The Beatles did there level best to make the Soviet Union seem cool and desirable.

"Back In The USSR" is a good rock-n-roll song, for sure.  And one of The Beatles shortest in play time.

I wonder how much of their 1968 fortunes came from record sales and concerts in the USSR?

OK, back to the thread at hand................................

Actualy That song was written as a response the the Popularity of the Beach Boys song "California Girls" and is a parody in a way of that song. Paul and John were just poking fun at Beach Boys. So in the spirit of that here ya go.

No, Holy Resurrection, south of Tacoma.  It's an OCA church, but they do services in Slavonic at least once a month, so a fair number of Russians joined the parish.

Did you even glance at that map??? that I posted, damn, I even put I link to???  I think you are being deliberately obtuse!! or you like pushing my buttons!!

You mean this map?

With this in it?

European Russia: the part of the old USSR that has the majority of the population, contains the capital, and is most decidedly in Europe, according to your own map.

Yeah, I'm done with this subject.

I am curious, however: you claim Putin is dead.  When did that happen?
