This guy has all the personality and intelligence of wilted lettuce.  Why is anyone still wasting their time on him?

Waitaminute. Even radicchio, after having been in the sun for a coupla hours, at least has some personality.

Yes, it was.

One might ask the same of you.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

Perhaps you assume that I was being insincere and on that basis conclude that I was also using a passive aggressive tactic.  However, I am very interested in communication and wish to improve my own communication skills.  What methods did you use to acquire your communication skills?  What worked for you might also help me.

OK I will help you out here. This is an informal forum. Quit talking like your in a room full of stuffed shirt full-of-themselves PhD's. It smacks of supposed superiority. I know your type. I've dealt with them a 1000 times in real life. Can't say what they mean without using 50 dollar words when a few ten cent words will do. Give you a damned dissertation when 30 words will do. I'll tell you what I tell them... if you can't say it in 30 words or less then just shut the hell up.

And just for the record I have found that said people like that are damned idiots that can't do nothing but talk.

Hope this helps!   :cheersmate:

Did you see the context?

"Why is anyone still wasting their time on [Boojatta]?"
(I have taken the liberty of replacing a pronoun with a proper noun.)

Jesus wept.  He wrote in the sand at least once.  He also talked.  Wooden stuff that he made or repaired would be valued primarily because people think that he made it or repaired it, rather than because they want the wooden stuff.

Oh, I should mention that I'm not Jesus, just in case you misunderstand what I'm saying.  The point is that, on the one hand you are right: talk can be very insignificant.  On the other hand, it can be very significant.

Yes, despite your condescending conclusion to the contrary.

My personal experience with political forums has been that boards that are filled to the gills with rules and procedures are both zero fun and full of a fair number of people who are just plain sick-in-the-head--eg, the DU. They're unable to restrain themselves, so they institute a bunch of rules and end up having everyone watching everyone else; they're low-impulse control fools who need to be controlled, not much unlike kids in school. I didn't bother posting long in those places, or staying long with them after they started going that way.

Boojatta, think of it this way: if you have a hunch you're going to tick people off with a post, you probably will. That's not necessarily a reason not to post a particular post, but unceasingly belligerent people do tend to become disliked anywhere after a while---on the Internet, in the real-world, anywhere.

Were you born a pathetic asswipe troll, or did you have to work at it?

People who go looking for fights almost always find them, but never seem to realize there is ALWAYS some one tougher intellectually or otherwise.
