Remember: Bundy didn't want to pay land-use fees.

Oklahoma Will Charge Customers Who Install Their Own Solar Panels
Oklahoma residents who produce their own energy through solar panels or small wind turbines on their property will now be charged an additional fee, the result of a new bill passed by the state legislature and expected to be signed into law by Gov. Mary Fallin (R).

On Monday, S.B. 1456 passed the state House 83-5 after no debate. The measure creates a new class of customers: those who install distributed power generation systems like solar panels or small wind turbines on their property and sell the excess energy back to the grid. While those with systems already installed won’t be affected, the new class of customers will now be charged a monthly fee — a shift that happened quickly and caught many in the state off guard.

“We knew nothing about it and all of a sudden it’s attached to some other bill,” Ctaci Gary, owner of Sun City Oklahoma, told ThinkProgress. “It just appeared out of nowhere.”

Because the surcharge amount has not been determined, Gary is cautious about predicting the impact it will have on her business. She has already received multiple calls from people asking questions about the bill and wanting to have solar systems installed before the new fee takes effect. “We’re going to use it as a marketing tool,” Gary said. “People deserve to have an opportunity and not be charged.”

29. Not the same AT ALL

The grazing fees have been in effect since the late 1980's. Bundy has been sponging off the taxpayers for over 20 years. How are the people with solar panels doing that?

And in 20 years?

...and sell the excess energy back to the grid.

The operative phrase here.  It simply takes away some of the fake economy of these systems, the installation of which is artificially supported by tax breaks and legal gimmicks that make power companies buy power back through the distribution grid whether or not it is of any value at the time of day and location where it goes into the grid.  There would not be any effect on people who want to install a system separate from the grid.

DUmmies think that governing production of electricity is as simple as mash the pedal for more power right now and let off if not needed right now.

The only electrical generation system that works anywhere close to that way is "hydro electric stations".....and the DUmbasses want to blow up all the damns so fishes can swim upstream.....well. there are some diesel/gas plants that can start up and shut down rather quickly but then you have the climate change thing the DUmmies will bitch about.

DUmmies should live in caves and eat raw fish.....well, they already think raw fish is the greatest thing ever so they're half way there.

Sparky take a trip over seas to Scotland and Ireland and visit the really old homes there.

Some of these cottages have been preserved for 300 years.  What do you notice about them that makes them special.?

The windows are very small as at one time Britten taxed the air amount coming into a home.

Yup oh, it's the tax man yah, yah the tax man, if you walk to work they tax your feet.

Yes, they love income tax. As long as it's not them paying it.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

Here is an entertaining story from a small Massachusetts community involving taxes and solar panels. I imagine this story is the equivalent of a Chinese Finger Trap to a primitive. Tread lightly, DUmmies..

I hope a DUmmie sees this.
From what I understand from the article, the guy is selling and making money.
That might be the deciding factor.

Dummies should be able to understand their own philosophy.

If it works, tax it.  If it doesn't work, subsidize it.

I have yet to figure that one out.  Taxed, on an event wholly independent of the acts or wants of the property owner.  Mindboggling, yet this is what these retards vote for and probably agree with.

Taxed for rainfall on your property ??????? God makes it to rain on the righteous and the unrighteous so where do the 'separation of church and state' people stand on this?

Doesn't matter, you're going to be taxed anyway.

...first cousin to eminent domain....
[/quot]

I seem to remember a family in Michigan that built a home on the lake that they wanted to be totally sufficient.

They built a home, winterized it , heated it with a wood stove, had a well pump in the kitchen an out house out back and used kerosene lamps for light.

To get Electricity to their home would cost a lot so they went with what they had.  Putting in new poles and wire for their distance to the road was a fortune to them.

So they decided to go without and then the Electric company came in and stated as they had access to the electricity they should pay for what they did not get.     Never heard of what happened next------very strange case.
