what the HELL ?!?!?  okay, maybe they are rattled, but the hatred that is filling these people is . . . just
creepy.  whatever happened to hope, healing, and unity?  and reaching out to republicans?  The BarackStar!
won, at least in part, because he insisted that he could win over republicans . . . . every one of these outrageous
statements that come bursting out of his surrogates just bring more swing voters over to palin just out of the
sheer venom of the attacks.

these people have lost it.  just.lost.it.

S.C. Dem chair: Palin primary qualification is she hasn't had an abortion

South Carolina Democratic chairwoman Carol Fowler sharply attacked Sarah Palin today, saying John McCain had chosen a running mate "whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.”

Palin is an opponent of abortion rights and gave birth to her fifth child, Trig, earlier this year after finding out during her pregnancy that the baby had Down syndrome.

Fowler told my colleague Alex Burns in an interview that the selection of an opponent of abortion rights would not boost McCain among many women.

“Among Democratic women and even among independent women, I don’t think it helped him,” she said.

Told of McCain's boost in the new ABC/Washington Post among white women following the Palin pick, Fowler said: "Just anecdotally, I believe that those white women are Republican women anyway."

If a Republican had said this about Hillary, they'd be dead.  But bigotry is accepted and taken for granted when it comes from Democrats.

I heard this earlier today but I have no corroborating evidence (I was working all day and haven't been given internet access yet)... McCain's poll numbers are due to a 20-point swing of women voters.

she released this confused apology tonight:

Quote
UPDATE -- Carol Fowler releases a statement of apology: "I personally admire and respect the difficult choices that women make everyday, and I apologize to anyone who finds my comment offensive. I clumsily was making a point about people in South Carolina who may vote based on a single issue. Whether it’s the environment, the economy, the war or a woman’s right to choose, there are people who will cast their vote based on a single issue. That was the only point I was attempting to make."

I have no clue what she is trying to say.  her husband, by the way, is don fowler, former DNC chairman, who was taped a few weeks ago saying that the fact that hurricane gustav was hitting during the RNC proved that God was on their side.

She's still an idiot, and her "apology" isn't helping.

Single-issue voters like 90% of blacks who are pulling the lever for Obama?  And it's not limited to SC.  Oops, can't mention that.

I'm not even sure what she is apologizing for.  I just don't understand her apology at all.  I think that she is ultimately sorry that it got out . . .

Pro-abortionists are a strange kind of people.  All of this hatred will work in our benefit.  Let them keep talking....the democrats won't have any power in the White House for a very long time.

I live in S.C.. Now let me tell you about single issue voters here. They vote democrat because it's a democrat, no issues and for no other reason than the person is a democrat.

“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin
