PDTurd primitive SOL

Quote from:
PD Turk

I don't EVER want to hear another rich asshole complain about taxes

So, on 12-31-12 i was downsized out of a job after almost 13 years with the same company, 8 of those years as a department manager. I was informed I would receive 3 months worth of severance of my meager $36k salary, and that I would be paid every 2 weeks just like I was still working until the severance was paid out.

Well, first severance check was due today so I got up and checked the bank for the direct deposit and it was there, but, it was short. Considerably short. I called up payroll to ask WTF it was so short and was informed that severance pay was considered as "supplemental income" for tax purposes so it is taxed at a flat 25% rate by the IRS.

I mean.....REALLY? So this is what we've come to, the wealthy owners of this country are so averse to paying taxes that they have to kick the little guy at one of his lowest moments to take up their damn slack?
 :argh:

In light of all this , I have only two questions:

Ouestion one: What is the tax rate on golden parachutes?

Question two: Who owns this one? Under what administration/congress was this "let's kick the little guy while he's down" policy instituted?

In the meantime, I've taken on some drywall and paint work in order to "supplement" my income, so I better get back to rolling paint. Y'all have a great day, I'll check back in later, and thanks in advance for any answers you come up with.

While taxes on Severance pay, bonuses etc are taxed at a higher rate than regular income you still are taxed overall at gross income level so some folks may still owe while others receive a refund.

Been the rule for about 30 yrs or so.
It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

Sucks to be you, DUmmie.  How's that big ol' democrat shit sandwich taste?  How much did you enjoy finding out you are "rich" and your democrat gods (you know, the rich-ass libs) don't give a damn how much they steal from all of us?  Bet you regret that vote for hopey-changey now, dontcha?

Nah, you're still too stupid to figure it out.

Welcome to the world you helped create, ****head.

Wouldn't a rich person's severance package (which is what a golden parachute is, I thought) taxed at the same rate?

:mental:  He thinks that some rich dude, pissed off about his taxes, called the IRS and told them to withhold 25% from this idiot, just because the rich dude's feeling cranky?  That's how it sounds.

Blame your beloved government, DUmbass.  And yes, you'll get it back.

I'd fire your ass, too, for being so stupid.

Over at the thread, they blather about changing W-2's.

It's a W-4, DUmbasses.   And it has absolutely nothing to do with anything.

If you think $36k is "meager", try living off what George Obama makes... and his brother won't even help him out.

He should call his CONgresscritter and bitch rather than blaming the 'rich'. Well in a manner of speaking he is right, the rich  :censored: in CONgress are the ones that drafted the laws, not the owner of the company. It's chic to blame the rich, especially when there is a progressive rat in office. Had it been Bush, all hell would be breaking loose blaming the repukes and the chimp. Asshats!

I wouldn't be surprised if they were changing their W2 forms. What's a little fraud when you are a DUmmy?

If I was nice I might warn them that the IRS also got a copy if that W2 so if you alter it you will get caught.

Maybe I'm a jerk, but...making only $36K after 13 YEARS at the same company? Not a very ambitious or valuable DUmmy.

Anyway, yes, DUmbasses, the IRS rules for taxing supplemental income are the same for all. Leave it to a DUmbass in a desperate moment to make it completely abstract and political. That's why you people are losers, lurkers. Want to know what the last thing I give a shit about is if I ever get canned? What someone else gets paid when THEY get canned.

I'll take that bet. No way the low IQer gets a job that pays under the table. Those usually involve physical labor.

I just hope that when the 0bama economy and all of the socialist regulations made this business downsize that the boss went out and looked at the bumper stickers on cars to determine who was in the first round of layoffs.

So this DUmmy had this job throughout the Great Bush Prosperity, and has been a "department manager" for eight years, and makes $3000 a month?

Maybe he works in Haiti.

On the other hand, no DUmp democrat is worth more than that.

Now he's a beneficiary of the 0conomy, and will likely be unemployed for the rest of his miserable, worthless life.

It doesn't get any better than that! Thanks for the story, DUmbass!

I'm surprised old PS Turd was able to get drywall/paint work with all the illegals willing to do it for beer money.  As soon as that severance pay runs out, he's going to have a lot of lifestyle adjustments to make.  He also has a long wait for that eic.   Hope he whines about it in the dump.
