So I explained it and gave examples.

Example: So imagine that daddy goes on trips and has a girlfriend with him while he's gone.

She wrinkles up her nose, then I had to explain these "Christians" on the Republican side who think it's ok....and that even though he's a serial sleep around "he's forgiven". (Never mind they raised hell over Clinton's escapades and Weiner's weiner!)

then she finishes my sentence and said "They're not really Christians".

Out of the mouths of babes!

Now the 10 year old, asked me later, "Did Grandpa ever have a girlfriend other than Grandma?"

Well, turn about is fair play. I had to explain to my 8 year old what a blow job was. Then a few years later I had to explain to him why oral sex really IS sex (it has nothing to do with the definition of "is"). Thankfully we never had to have the "1001 uses for a cigar talk".

As for Newt, I'm not voting for a minister. It was, however, EXTREMELY hypocritical for him to be trying to impeach Clinton when he was carrying on an affair with Calista. We can do better than that. However, the first priority is getting this jackass out of office.

Not that Newt's ex wife is even believable...there seems to be me many who thought her unstable and I always take the woes of a scorned female with a grain of salt(and a scorned male). Seen too many people paint themselves into the best possible light while painting their ex as the devil. If they did have an open relationship, what does that make her that she agrees to it? More interested in a paycheck and the good life and a social circle then a devoted and monogamous husband? The sword of indignity hits two people where there is even tacit approval of such behavior. Sorry, but I've rarely seen many marriages end because it was all one person who was in the wrong.

Thanks, Newt??  Seems to me he only talked to his then wife about it.  She made it a headline. 

I do wonder how an 8 year old kid managed to hear this bit of news, yet has seemingly missed all the nearly-porn on TV these days??  Or was it the concept of "marriage" and why that would be described as "open" the problem?  To a lot of kids these days, "married" is an unfamiliar term.
