Obama just confirmed after the Pentagon's review that he wants to end DADT. He called on the Senate to get to work ASAP on legislation repealing the ban on gays serving in the military so he could sign it "this year." A thread about this is slowly sinking in LBN.

This is why you lost the mid-terms, Americans are out of work, they don't give a crap about the regressives social agenda, what is he going to sign this year to make it easier for people to find work? Obama is Republican Lite my ass! :censored:

Actually, I think she's right - he is a gift to the Republicans, Obama did give the GOP their largest election victory in more than 70 years (okay, but still within her life-span). From what I've heard, she still has Obama signs all over her yard, she's probably just mad over the federal pay freeze. The old gal might not have morals, but she owns scads of turtleneck sweaters,

File it under feel good legislation meant to shore up their ever shrinking base.  It is a useless diversion which really helps only the politicians not gays, queers, fags, lesbifriends, or what ever else they are calling themselves these days.  The small vocal minority, a mouse that roars, control the agendas. Gays in the military are in all likely hood in the same proportion as gays in the community [a percentage which I would guess has stayed stable over time]. 

Nero fiddled while Rome burned.  Same here.  While these ass hats deal with non-problems the real problems still  fester away below the surface.   Here in NH we saw a similar circus when dems controlled the legislature.  Social legislation boiled on the front burner while fiscal issues stewed on the back.
