A week has gone by since Donald Trump admitted he's only been to "two or three" of his daily presidential national security briefings. There have been 36 of them since the day he secured enough electoral college votes to be appointed president next Monday when the Electoral College meets....

...So, my fellow Americans, when the next terrorist attack happens -- and it will happen, we all know that -- and after the tragedy is over, amidst the death and destruction that might have been prevented, you will see Donald Trump acting quickly to blame everyone but himself. He will suspend constitutional rights. He will round up anyone he deems a threat. He will declare war, and his Republican Congress will back him...

The notable thing about this thread is not the OP but some of the responses, they go full T.A.R.D about halfway down the thread.

That's how Hitler did it and Trump has studied Hitler and is an admirer.

The Nazis burned down the Reichstag and blamed the Communists. It scared the country so Hitler demanded Constitutional law be suspended temporarily in order to protect the country. The government agreed, gave him legal power to override the Constitution and that was that. Germany was a one man total dictatorship until Hitler committed suicide 12 years later.

Trump may see a terrorist attack as his ticket to a permanent dictatorship over America.

You know that's what he wants. This is how he may get it.

I'm sure you've been to plenty of daily intel briefs in your military time, of course not the one-over-the-world strategic level ones.  In my experience they are mostly a waste of time except for general situational awareness, almost never involve anything actually actionable (Anything that does is a private single-subject short decision briefing), and even far below the strategic level they're mostly repetitive time-wasters.  They're really an exercise in ass-covering more than anything else.

The answer to the bolded is "yes, they really do believe that."  I have a friend from childhood who has since moved out to SFO and has gone full-blown moonbat, and I suspect that she posts at DU.  She literally, genuinely believes that Obama gets briefings on every single threat on every single day.  When I pointed out to her that Obama skips about 60% of his intel briefings, she refused to believe it.  When I pointed out to her that it's the White House's own records that show this, she claimed that (get this) those records weren't credible.

What is now called SF International was dedicated in 1927 as Mills Field. It's grown a bit.

Interesting. It was renamed in honor of a WW2 fighter pilot, Butch O'Hare. It couldn't be known at the time, but his defense of Lexington was pretty important. Lexington and sister ship Saratoga were not as maneuverable as later CVs, and had Lex been hit, her absence would have been felt a few months later at Coral Sea (if the USN even tried to engage the IJN there), which impacted what the IJN had available for Midway - imagine adding Shokaku and Zuikaku to Akagi, Kaga, Hiryu and Soryu, 6 carriers rather than 4, facing Enterprise, Hornet (whose air group wasn't very experienced), and Yorktown (if she weren't sunk at Coral Sea).
