City of Atlanta Conducting Voter Drive – Director Openly Pro-Obama

Atlanta, GA – Late Friday afternoon the City of Atlanta’s Mayor’s Office issued a press release informing residents that the city government would be hosting a “citywide voter registration drive.”
 
According to the release, the Mayor’s Office of Constituent Services, City of Atlanta’s Office of Recreation and the Department of Human Resources are partnering “to register Atlanta voters before October 9th deadline .”
 
The release went on to state, “Participants will have the opportunity to register to vote, update their voter registration information, request an absentee ballot, apply for voter identification cards and learn more about the voting process. Food and beverages will be provided to Atlanta residents who attend the registration drive.”
 
One less touted detail regarding the announcement, however, is that the program’s director, Sonji Jacobs, is a partisan Democrat and that Atlanta’s Mayor is an open supporter of Barack Obama’s reelection campaign......
