A Palin Hit Piece?

Julianne Moore to play Sarah Palin -- but can she compete with Tina Fey?

"The Kids Are All Right" star Julianne Moore is set to play Sarah Palin in the upcoming HBO film "Game Change" -- so step aside, Tina Fey and Kathy Griffin.

The adaptation of the bestselling John Heilemann and Mark Halperin book chronicles Sen. John McCain's 2008 presidential bid with the polarizing then-governor of Alaska as his running mate on the Republican ticket, leading up to their loss in the general election.

Moore will make for an interesting Palin, who, of course, took the world by storm with her winks, Naughty Monkey heels and "you betcha" attitude. But can her Sarah compete with the gal from Fey's spot-on "Saturday Night Live" spoofs? (To relive the Fey-day of Palin, watch the video below.)

It's an interesting twist, casting an Oscar-nominated actress to play a politico who until recently was making a name for herself as a reality TV star. It's almost flattering that news that she'll be played by the classy redhead (Moore) broke soon after another ginger (Griffin) took jabs at Palin's limelight-lurching family.

I'll bet that this will be rushed through if Sarah decides to run.  If the Citizens United decision had went the other way, this would not be allowed if she does run.
