It was willful ignorance that got obama elected, and it will be a revelation that gets him kicked out.

My first vote was for George H. W. Bush.

At this point, you can usually tell if your candidate is doing well despite the background noise from sources like Kos and DemocratUnderground.  They serve one function -- they represent the base of the Democrat Party.  Four years ago, John McCain was too busy agreeing with and apologizing for every assertion and threat the base made, true or not (mostly not).  I'm not seeing that this time around.  I didn't see it in 2004 and I didn't see it in 2000.  Bob Dole and H. W.'s second campaign were more like McCain's than Romney's.

We will see.

There is no question to the fact that Romney wants this. I don't feel McCain did. Just watching Romney's campaign shows it. He has been biting back at every nip from obama. I like that.

A good sign in PA!

I'm always--ALWAYS--the first guy to vote in our little precinct. I was third in line this time, and when I left, there was a line!

This is Delaware County, PA, one of those must-have "Collar Counties" in suburban Philly.

PA is going red. You heard it here first.

The Black Panthers have made a return appearance at the same polling place in Philly as they did last time. Only this time they aren't carrying weapons. They were told that if they carry any type of weapon they will be arrested.

5 hours 18 minutes until the first poll closes.

When I voted today, there was a smaller line than in 2008. The 10 in the room with me (Small town we know each other) all said they are voting for Romney.

obama blamed Bush for everything up till the end of his campaigning yesterday. He still mentioned his getting a bad economy. It will be nice to have a President who won't blame the previous administration. obama will go down in history as the blamer-in-chief who was an utter failure.

I heard something interesting on Hannity, the UN inspectors were puzzled that in some states you don't have to show an ID. So it is possible that the goons on the left may have just killed their own talking point that ID is racist. I mean if the UN thinks you need to show ID then it has to be a good thing, right?  :rotf:

I don't know why some states make voting so retarded. In Louisiana, you walk up to the table, tell them your name (if your name is not on the rolls, you do not get to vote), show a photo ID, sign your name adjacent to the name on the voting rolls, wait in line and use an electronic voting machine. Quick and simple. We may have crooked politicians but not crooked elections. Using paper ballots is so 3rd world banana republic type voting.

After calls urging me to get moving from Pat Boone, Clint Eastwood, and Paul Ryan, I just voted.  I was the 500th person of the day in my ward--I don't know if that's good or not.  I went later in the day than I usually do, it was pretty crowded.  A big National Guard armory with several different wards.  No wait at all for my ward.

I couldn't believe that people were stupid enough to elect Obama in 2008--anybody that votes for him a second time must be rooting for this country to fail.

It always bugs me that a precinct right in the middle of a major urban center takes forever and a day to get their returns in, but a precinct in a double-wide trailer out in West Backass Holler gets their votes in 10 minutes after the polls close. According to freerepublic, Cleveland Democrats are desperate, sending out twits urging people to vote, because they're like 20% below the last election.

I don't doubt it. BTW, so you all know, they keep saying people here will vote for the O because of the auto bailout. Well I know someone personally who worked for GM. They closed many plants here for the 1 or 2 left open. His pay dropped by half. More lost jobs then kept them so how they think that matters just shows me how out of touch they are with how that really went down.

When is all said and done even if O pulls it off it will be by the skin of his teeth and maybe with a popular vote loss.
It will still be a Republican House and basically a idealogical 50/50 split in the Senate.

All and all a sister kiss and still even odds that Romney pulls it out.

This ain't over yet. You got challenge ballots to count, you got absentee ballots to count. You got recounts that are gonna happen. I can see it going to the end of November or even later. I expect lawsuits out the ass in those states.

NBC News declared obama the winner of Iowa.

Is it even worth it anymore?  I mean, half this country just voted to continue to steal not just from the current producers, but also from their as-yet-unborn children and grandchildren.  This country is finished.  Hopefully, whoever and whatever emerges from the ashes will learn the lessons that this generation has ignored.

Romney Campaign Readies ‘Go Teams’ For Potential Swing State Recounts (http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/11/romney-campaign-readies-go-teams-for-potential-swing-state-recounts/)

Quote
How seriously is the Romney campaign taking the possibility of a post-Election Day recount?

Romney campaign officials have instructed members of their staff from the political and advance teams as well as other departments to “pack a bag” and bring it with them to tonight’s election night event at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

Each notified staffer would be part of a “go-team” to be dispatched to one of several states where a close result might lead to a recount. (Inside the campaign, Ohio is the state that has loomed largest in discussions.)
Campaign planes are said to be on stand-by to ferry staff to their as yet unknown destination if needed.
In the state capitols of many of the battleground states, the campaign has also kept a small team of advance staffers who would also be ready to spring into action.

“We’re expecting a clear and decisive victory tonight,” a Romney campaign official told ABC News, “but we’re obviously ready for any scenario.”

The campaign already has both volunteer and staff lawyers camped out in all of the swing states.
Team Romney has also set up a “war room” at the TD Garden in Boston where a team of the campaign’s top legal officials, including Benjamin Ginsberg who played a lead role for George W. Bush’s campaign during the 2000 Florida recount, are monitoring potential problems at polling locations.

Urban area takers that outnumber producers who are fleeing to less populous states but not en masse to any given one that shifts electoral count and you have the exact opposite of what the electoral college sought to prevent.

Now it will be a even harder struggle to be secure again IF I will be able to get there at all.

To the fools that kept this idiot in office, be prepared to reap the whirlwind. And I do not want to hear one word about your tax bills, energy bills, how much it takes to fill your tank, or how much your insurance has gone up while your medical care has gone down. I do not want to hear one word about any of your friends or family that will soon be dire trouble financially, when more markets tank, when more business close up, when unemployment shoots back up to double digits, or when the next little pissant country takes a swipe at us.

He ran for U.S. senator and lost to Ted Kennedy.    I thought you were an expert on him?

The reason why Obama won is because our society went from a country of people who wanted to work and would vote for the candidate whose policies were favorable to small business,  to a society much like Canada - all they care about is their ponies, Obamaphones, Obamacare, and how long their unemployment benefits will get extended for.   Just check out the DU.   That entire site is a worthless lot of parasites of society.

The lazy people in this country want the DOW to tank. That way we can have a full economic collapse and force everyone to be dependent on the government. At that point, obama can be the dictator he dreams of.

I think some people are just genetically predisposed and reinforced over time to serfdom and wanting to be ruled by kings or dictators.

I think so also. I don't know why people are like that. It is like they can't think or do for themselves.

Throughout human history, humans were ruled by emperors, kings, or dictators. Also, serfdom for many centuries throughout history, especially in Europe. Elections are relatively new concept in human history.

"The America of today is a laboratory example if what can happen to democracies, what has eventually happened to all perfect democracies throughout history.  A perfect democracy, a 'warm body' democracy in which every adult may vote and all votes count equally, has no internal feedback for self-correction.  It depends solely on the wisdom and self-restraint of citizens... which is opposed by the folly and lack of  self-restraint of other citizens.  What is supposed to happen in a democracy is that each sovereign citizen will always vote in public interest for the safety and welfare of all.  But what does happen is that he votes his own self-interest as he sees it... which for the majority translates as 'Bread and Circuses'.

Bread and Circuses is the cancer of democracy, the fatal disease for which there is no cure.  Democracy often works beautifully at first.  But once the state extends the franchise to every warm body, be he producer or parasite, that day marks the beginning of the end of the state.  For when the plebs discover that they can vote themselves bread and circuses without limit and that the productive members of the body politic cannot stop them, they will do so, until the state bleeds to death, or in it's weakened condition the state succums to an invader - the barbarians enter Rome." ~ Robert Heinlein

It has already started. One of my idiot lib friends on Facebook who was saying Thank God last night is already posting about the price of food and others are commenting in her thread about the price of gas and so on. And just what makes them think it will get any better now?

and post it every time they complain about this or that being more expensive.  They may not get it, but it will sure cross their wires.
