My Son Just Shook Bill Clinton's Hand
« on: January 30, 2008, 02:35:58 PM »
My son just called me from the University of Oklahoma in Norman.  There was a Hillary Clinton rally there today.  He shook Bill Clinton's hand.

I asked my son if he washed good afterwards.

The rally was moved from the main auditorium to the field house due to low turnout. :)

Time for Purell??? :-)

Actually, I've heard from more than one person that Bill is very charming in person and even his political enemies swoon. No wonder Hillary is trotting him around. He is certainly more likable even if he's really a no-good cad.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Purel, Hell.  He needs to an "Army of Darkness" number on it.  The Evil will always be there.

My son was impressed with how physically big the rapist-in-chief is in person.

Well John McCain bought me coffee last August. :-) We were both trying to get out of D.C. on Northwest - he was headed to Iowa and was standing behind me in line - paid for my coffee when I couldn't get my wallet out fast enough. He's much shorter in person. I just said "Thanks", shook his hand and headed back to my gate. Oddly enough, people were just ingoring him. Of course it was Reagan National and way back in August before things heated up in the campaign.

I will still hold my nose when I vote for him though. Respect the man and his service and sacrifice but hate a lot of his politics.

My son said the Secret Service called about a week ago for a list of employees.  I said since they let my son in, I have lost all faith in the Secret Service.

No, Norman, Oklahoma is not on the Clinton's short list for retirement spots.

I met Bill Clinton.  He is likeable.  His wife is cold and just plain all politics from what I could observe.
She seemed as though she had no emotion at all. Power Power and Politics.  Her body language read that..Her voice....No wonder Bill messed around because Hillary is all about the White House and I even got the feeling she resented Bill being the president.

My son said he was friendly but in a hurry.  It was a handshake op only.
